1000$ paint job DIY AT HOME 

I’m spraying flip cars for some local people in my area. With the old harbor freight 29 gallon air compressor. It keeps up with my LPH400. A year ago I tried the 1150 and that’s all I’ve been spraying since. Glass right off the gun. Keep up the great videos!

Glamour coat clear coat is my favorite clear coat. I always seem to get a good shine out of it and its not expensive compared to other clears on the market

Marko, that paint came out nice! I was looking to buy a big compressor but found a new 60gal Kobalt in my Cuz' garage... never used or even plugged in :) Now its in my garage and my first paint job will be on my ole 04' Crown Vick! Gotta get it done by the end of March. before the Cottonwood trees let loose!

Looks like a great job! I guess I can do it with my Home Depot 30 gal compressor. Just need a good water separator for it.

Love your content and just subscribed. Looking for a good video on painting a Chevy Express or GMC Savana (you know, crummy GM White peeling paint issues). There's some not so great videos via the youtube search. I'm amazed that there are isn't some franchise specializing in painting contractor vans in every major U.S. City. I'd like to go White to Green before doing vinyl lettering. I have a fully wrapped Savana van and it looks awesome but am thinking (or at least hoping) that I could paint and vinyl and have it look nice for quite a bit less...plus I'd like to learn to paint and own 5 white vans.

Hello, I asked another RU-vid painter about a month ago to do EXACTLY what you just did. I got well over 100 replies to my question/comment. THANK YOU for doing this! I did not ask he use a 6 gallon compressor though :). Amazing. I took an old 21 gallon HF compressor and put a 2 piston 2 HP oil less motor on the tank. I'm going to try and spray a car with it. Is that an HVLP or LVLP spray gun you used with the small compressor? Does Speedokote offer OEM colors? I know you have a business to run but helping us DIY'er out like in this video is really nice. Thanks!

QUICK QUESTION FOR YOU PLEASE I recently shot my entire vehicle with "speedokote R-Rex bedliner" out of a 2.0 tip HVLP gun. It has dried with very little fine texture just how i wanted it. Since it has dried NOT glossy , I intend to use scotch pad to scuff it 1st than mist the exterior coating with speedokote brand " bite coat adhesion promotor" prior to shooting the clear to assure the clear sticks well. Can u please advise whats the least expensive speedokote gloss clear avialable for me to order that would work over this coating? They have too many types of clear , and i just dont know which one. The vehicle is not kept outside very much at all. THANKS FOR ALL YOU VIDEOS

When is your new paint guns coming out

I have a question for you. I have two different, RU-vid channels, Troy‘s restoration and Troy‘s restoration 2.0 I do car restoration and Arcade restoration where I paint on both of those channels I have tried the SMR 21 had pretty good results with it. I spray in a heated spray booth, so I bake it at the end, I just picked up some SMR 1150 have not tried it. Is it a good clear what’s the longevity of it? Obviously it Hass to do with how well somebody takes care of it. Just wondering if you ever used it and what were your thoughts on it? Any tricks that I need to know thank you, Troy.

Would this work on a single stage? Single stage is a little thick than basecoat clear coat, I wonder if there’s any difference? Great video all and all!

Great video. What can I do about an '01 Ford truck with spider cracked black paint? Do I sand it all down to bare primer and then spray or can I just scuff, skim and paint? I just want a nice 10 footer.

curious how often are you cleaning your gun? lets say on this job how many times did you actually break the gun down and fully clean before spraying any other coats? or did you just let it rock? im having an issue where i can lay down about 2 quarts, however after the 2 cups are finished if i dont break down and clean my gun, it gets clogged and starts sputtering and spitting paint.. smh i have an 80gallon, decent compressor so it isnt a lack of air but im wondering why i gotta clean so often? i watch a local painter and doesnt matter what he sprays whether single stage enamal, waterborne, ppc etc etc he breaks his iwata down once.. if i dont break it down eberytime my paint jobs are shit.

can you do some experimenting with denim pads for cutting and buffing if you haven't already?

And sorry again, if you used a LVHP- gun, whats the similar vs non similar things you have to do.....⁉️ Ok, now maybe a tip for you - I know that you are a clever guy...😜.... But if you could get hold of panels of a car...(thinking maybe cheaper then a hole car, you know I'm swedish so little of the car and parts- prices in US) or GET A CAR (A= for tinkering around car- tryout car)...to do ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING WRONG to do car....Sorry I hope you can understand how I meaned......?
