1000% Tears! Violet Evergarden 2020 The Movie Reaction 

I don't know HOW many times I've cried watching Violet Evergarden. There's other anime that have also made me cry, but Violet consistently made me weep. It'll always have a special place in my heart.

Okay, I have to take a few deep breaths, get some tea and tissues. When I first watched Violet Evergarden, I binged the whole series and the movies in one day, and by the end of that day, I was a mess. My great-grandmother and great-grandfather were torn apart because of war. My great-grandmother was pregnant at the time, but when I visited my great-grandmother when I was younger, her face was always so haunted and heartbroken. When she passed a few years ago, that day started out snowy, but then it turned so sunny and bright, and I asked out loud: "Are you with him again?" And I don't know if it was the sunlight playing tricks or if it was a sign, but I saw the brightest smile. And now, whenever the Sun shines, I just sort of "see" them together, and it makes me so happy 🙏☀️ Thank you so much for reacting to this beautiful story. And I just sort of see Violet and Gilbert as kind of like an... alternative story to my great-grandparents. Like, what if they did find each other? 😇 I can't wait to see what you watch next. There are so many incredible anime out there ✨️

Beautiful end to the series. ... Violet Evergarden is definitely one of my Top 3 Anime of all time... I've never had a show that had me in tears so often as this one. ... Reactions ... Reviews ... The Music ... It all just makes me tear up ... and I hate how much I love it. It's perfection!

When Gilbert began reading the letter I could feel it welling up. When he finished and "Michishirube" started for the last time the tears came. When he started running I lost it completely. For sixty-one years I've read and listened to and watched all kinds of media and have been known to do some crying along the way, but I was not ready for this. The entirety of Violet Evergarden is just over 9 hours total, and every minute flawlessly builds toward the movie's ending. I've never seen anything like it and I doubt we will again. As you put so very well Gaz, it's been a privilege to watch this.

The PTSD is real on all fronts.... RIP Anne... 😱 The letters kept coming for a long time... Violet was always questioning whether she was worthy of a life and love and happiness.... ..... And so was the major.

I just wanted to see some of your reactions on specific scenes, i watched the series and movie already 3 times. And now i still sit here again the 4th time with a lots of used tissues and red eyes 🥲🥲🥲 my favorite anime of all time!!!

I wish they will expand the series with more episodes as there are so many openings from the film before she meets with the Major and after she stays on the island. The post master at the end of the film gave openings for more stories and there is the girl, Anna's niece, that wants to know more about Violet. There are the other characters that are so beautifully written of which we want to know more. I am sure that I am not the only one that hope that this anime will be developed as it is such a beautiful story and make feelings come alive.❤
