Analog's biggest challenge is rejecting the reflected signal from surrounding. When it can bounce and reach to the video receiver it creates artifacts. IMO best use case for this vtx is using it with long range planes. Thanks for the video Rimzler
For long range analog is king. Ive gone 30km on 800mw on a wing. With the foxeer 5w vtx ive gone 45km and had great video. Had to turn around due to battery
So, yes you can now write that you flew that far... Great! But, being up so high in the open sky, what did you actually see or accomplish? Up so high I do not see the enjoyment, fun, excitement of FPV... I see the stress, anxiety, and fear of losing your drone and it's huge cost. That's all. I say that because it's not fun to fly in the open sky so far up, with nothing to fly around, between, through, etc. IMO, long range is the most boring way to fly, and gives the most stress and anxiety. That's not fun! It messes with a person's nerves! Flying around, through, between trees and objects it's what makes FPV so fun, not open sky way high flying. Sure, you can say you did it, but don't try to tell me it's actually fun!
@KOrnhOliO1 it is fun. I look forward to it. I build and plan it out. I'm standing on a huge hill with nothing but flat ground to my destination. I never have to go higher than 600 ft using 1.3ghz. It's in the open desert so if it goes down no big deal. I just have to ride a dirt bike to get it. It's better at night when I can see the animals using a thermal camera.
@@mickeysmedia I'm really curious how the adapter can affect the image. It's just passing the video signal into the goggles. Do adapters mess up the video signal? I would seriously like to know what you think. I'm not just trying to be right. I accept I could be wrong but I'd really like to know why I'm wrong. If you know of a video showing the problems caused by adapters, I'd like to know how to find it.
is O3 not 2w? anyway maybe for some long range this would be nice but still meh, I mean this probably only good now for some other purposes I dont want to mention here, but we all know what I mean. Anyway what frame would even be able to hold this, probably only AOS cause most other frames are just way too small even the 7 inch ones. Also with Walksnail people do 30km or more so it is possible to go further with digital, just not with DJI. Nice test though
@@Rimzler where you got that information from? I am pretty sure it is 2000mw and I found this discussed on multiple forums, if you have other info feel free to provide the source but I am sure that O3 is not having 1w cause first off I dont believe it has less than vista or OG air unit and they did not release any update for more than a year so if you find the information about it being 1000mw feel free to post it
5:10 this is Bad Quality for Analogue. You Blame Analog. I have better Image on 200mW on this Range. I think the VTX is overloadet, or the AKK RX is bad or the Antennas also bad
Can't believed they are still making and selling analog video systems at 2024! My personally i very much preferred my 03 system and I'm still waiting for 04 system to come out. Do you know when the 04 system will come out??
analog is better for races, long range and freestyle. Because there is no delay.. digital better for the cinematic and cinematic freestyle (not the hard freestyle cuz the latency)
Not fair for analog bro your analog stuff is not at his best. i get True rc antenna cross hair patch+ lumenier double ax and Speedybee analog module on orqa fpv one pilot goggles . the image is crystal clear even on my meteor 75 pro . still Dji have better pénétration but i Come black to analog because i hate how Lost signal on dji. Analog for long range IS so much better on Line of sight.
I have not used analog in years, except for the camera, the other gear was given to me by akk in order to have everything from the same brand For sure there are some crazy receivers out there that minimize the interference
Rimzler. I appreciate all your videos and I think you have the best FPV channel on all of RU-vid. Better than Bardwell or anyone else. You actually fly and you keep everything fun and professional. Your Stingerbee review helped me to decide on a few things. Thank You. I 'm going to Cefalu in July. Are you in Sicily?
Reminds me of the good old days when all the hardcore fpv pilots were refusing to accept dji's digital signal transmitters as the new best thing. They were analog enthusiast. Look at em now. Using digital.
Problem is, flying away up high in the open AIR sky ISN'T FUN! The fun is had when flying around, between, and through, trees, bushes, and other objects. Open air up high flying is boring as fuck... There's nothing up there!... And stressful with lots of anxiety because you never know if you'll ever get you drone back... Which is obviously costing lots of money. FPV is fun. Long range is stressful! Lose a $600 drone and see just how much fun you had! Lol 😮😢😳
@@KOrnhOliO1I'll agree with the fact that it's scary to fly this way up high and loosing your drone. However, the market of this vtx is clearly for long range pilots. It's meant to be flown in open spaces kilometers apart from the pilot

It would take 5.2w to go twice the distance as 1.3w (DJI O3) and it'd take 20.8w to go twice that. So 10w btw will only get you just over twice the distance at a 1.3w vtx and you have non of the digital benefits. Instead you can get a 5w amplifier for DJI for $90 and have a 20 mile range.
seems like you have a very bad analog reciever to me, It doesnt really represent what analog can be, with an rapidfire or steadyview reciever you can get like 10x the range you got there
You want really short range and all of that snow of analog, fly with HDZero (analog2). That's it's nickname because it's exactly like analog, but slightly sharper. 30m out you'll get that crappy looking analog breakup! Fly around trees or bushes or any objects and it degrades ultra fast. It's soooooooooo far behind Walksnail and DJI it's not even close. Watch JB's video testing the range of the 3 systems. He starts in his driveway... DJI goes way, WAY down his country road all the way to the end where the street sign is. It's a long friggin way! 😊 Walksnail gets about half as far, but looks pretty good getting half way there. HDZero barely gets farther than his entry road into his property! Maybe 50m... Not over 75m and it goes to the Rainbow 🌈 screen of Death ☠️💀! Complete loss of signal. It gets "maybe" 1/30 as far as Walksnail. Maybe. Once you watch the video, you'll say it gets no where! Cuz, it really never even gets on his country road! It's gotta be why it only has 10% market share... Cuz, to be completely straight forward and honest - it sucks! Sure, maybe use HDZero if you're way into racing, but now I hear racers are going back to analog because there's an issue that's come up racing HDZero that makes it undesirable. I'm not into racing so I forget the details. HDZero is also the most expensive BY FAR. You can get the DJI V2 goggles on Amazon for $350 refurbished, in brand new condition. My friend bought them and they looked perfect! Not a scratch and 90 day warranty. Or, you can buy the DJI Integra for the same $350 anywhere in the USA. The V2's will also do analog FPV. Not Integra. They both come with antennas and a battery. The HDZero goggles sell for $600 and you still have to buy 4 antennas and a battery for around $100 - 150, depending on what you choose. Then, add to that the worlds apart in reliability and durability, with DJI being almost bulletproof, rarely does anything go wrong, if ever! ... Where I know people that have had to completely give up on HDZero because they were constantly having to replace burned out VTX's (the part that installs on the drone) all the Friggin' time... Typically over$100 each! Over and over and over, until they finally said they couldn't pay any more to replace them, and quit HDZero! This happened to a prominent reviewer whose been reviewing FPV products on his channel for 10 years! Imo, HDZero being so expensive for such a tiny improvement in performance over plain ole analog, is the WORST VALUE in all of FPV! So much money for so little. I'd stick with analog before buying HDZero. And, with only 10% market share, you can see most people agree with me. 🤔😁👍
@@KOrnhOliO1 HDZero is intended for racing drones and offers the equipment needed at multi drone events. DJI is aimed at consumers and has a very closed eco-system that requires jailbreaking if you want custom features. I still use analogue for now, but will most likely go the WalkSnail route when cash flow allows.
Pls set the VTX on 3W and do the test again. I think this VTX is Bad Quality, and its with 10W over its limit and sucks. I think you get better Quality when you decrese the Output power. I get Better Video on 200-400mW Maybe the AKK VRX is nit the Best on the Market
Dji O3 goes out like 25km. Anik FPV had a video about it. The vistas have a hard limit of about 15km. Analog is nice and cheap. Usually. At the moment analog vtx are expensive, due to chip shortage. I build analog and if I like the build make it digital
Thanks for the clarification, I thought DJI O3 had the same issues as old one, because on the official specs it says 10km, but nice to know it can go further!
RU-vid is dying to end me up in jail :D What's crazy is you guys are stuck on digital 5.8ghz. should see what it looks like at 900mhz, or 2.4ghz. You can practically fly digital in and out of metal buildings.
Great video. I think You have to fly analog on a daily basis then your brain kind of filters the noise and You hardly notice it. O3 is outstanding but this 10w transmitter has much more capabilities for a long range. Downside is as always that to have any decent video You need second camera :)
not all vtx are built the same. i own a 2.5w analgo vtx of unknown chinese brand and can easily beaten by a 350mw zeus nano. also the higher the power, the more your other equipments get affected
Thanks for the review. Cool, you're still flying the cinelog v2 hd. It's also still my only fpv copter. 🙂 I'm impressed because of the signal quality when you went behind the house etc. I'm getting more problems earlier. At least it feels like. I'm still waiting for the flight to the mountain! It's doable! Go for it! ;-)
@@Rimzler Thank you very much for your reply, even thought I might not try that but good to know it is safe! Today I just got my pavo20, still waiting for some bid deal in ebay for other gears!
digital systems also transmit powerful signals from the goggle itself, which is right on your face. it is not harmful to you in any way, its the same type of signal when you use your smartphone
aint HDZero the best middle ground? its digital but doesn't break up like digital, will show artifacts like analog and hold the latency for real, this video turned out to analog vs digital xD
Maybe so, but fly only 30m out and you'll get lots of snow. Fly farther and you'll get the dreaded Rainbow 🌈 screen of Death ☠️💀! Loss of complete signal. Fly around objects even 30m out and you'll get so much snow you'll be wondering why you switched from analog! Seriously, a ton of money for a slightly sharper analog image! That's why they call it Analog2! If stick to analog before I'd pay so much for HDZero! It's by far the most expensive with the least improvement over plain ole analog. Just sharper! Still tons of snow. I'm actually surprised anyone buys it.
The 03 is like 200mw output but with antenna gain they say it's equivalent to one Watt. Mads Tech did a video on the 03 power output. That's why digital is so impressive.
I get better Video on 200mW Anlogue in this Contitions. I think this VTX just sucks at this high Powerlevel. Get better Image with an normal 800mW VTX set to 200
