You beat me to it lol. Power to weight ratio is key. a buddy of mine thought his slow cat would beat my s10 blazer. My blazer has a 383 stroker with 625 hp with a turbo 350 auto and 4.56 gears in a 12 bolt gm. lets just say i'm running mid 10s and his barely ran a 10.9 lol
The TA was spinning the entire pull though. There's another video from behind that shows this and shows how much closer the race was. Action cameras, and 360 vids make everything appear farther away.

Then it becomes a race of top speed not acceleration. The civic already at top speed max out gear. The Trans has longer geared for top speed but isn't as fast as the civic in acceleration. In a 1/4 the civic would dust the Trans.
The drive train and the weight was holding the pow of the ls but the civic ofc gonna beat it it’s advantages was it’s Awd it’s drive train and it’s light weight
This must have been the shortest roll race I have ever seen. Nothing gets decided in this short of a distance. That TA (as much as I dislike them) was catching up every time and quite quickly. Advantage for civic - power to weight, advantage for ta top end, race for more than 2 seconds so both advantages get played out.

You never want to mess with AWD Hondas…… people go AWD because they need more traction. And contrary to popular belief of old heads and RWD fanboys it takes a lot of power to break traction for FWD, Speedfactory civic was FWD up until around 1600 if I remember correctly. Now I believe he’s over 2000whp and just broke the record first civic into 6s.
