On the drag strip with massive drag radials any 1000hp car should be able to hook fully if set up right, there has to be something going on here. Like to high of rpm on 2 step/launch control and driver mod, and maybe older tires?

Props to you guys still shiftin gears. I'm sure this is a badass car. I ditched the stick in my zo and am going 9.4's on motor on 18's and 8's on the dope stock rear end with a brace. It is a built 12:1 compression stock rod 427. 4l80 is where it's at.

That's my buddy Chris. He has had a lot of trouble out of that car since it is still a 6 speed. Even though it has ridiculous horsepower. I rode in it and going 60 felt like 100 cause it's so low.

I applaud the man pedal, stick shift is nice and all, but with 1000hp, you will only hold back the car. An auto would make that C6 more consistent, probably cut better 60's, and be less of a hassle down the track. Car is jumpin' all over the place during every shift, could get messy.

+Mr. Mix not even close, a 1000 hp is 820ish to the wheels and in a new vette it should trap around 155-160 on the slow side. not to mention it sounds like he is talking about wheel hp being a 1000. so 145-150 is about 700 max to the wheels in a 3300 lbs vette.
