I’ve enjoyed using these classic patterns from the early days of Zentangle, especially as they celebrate their 20th anniversary of Zentangle classes. Today in my 20th video for this series, I showed a combination of Avreal, Cubine, Eke, and Meer.
With today’s video, I have shown 58 of the 102 tangles. I’m hoping to have these videos complete before my CZT anniversary in June. I first learned about Zentangle when I saw the 102 Tangles of Zentangle poster on display at a community college. I have been in love with Zentangle ever since, and I have a goal to show all the 102 patterns. The 102 Tangles of Zentangle poster was published in 2009 and can be purchased at Zentangle.com.

It is absolutely fabulous...my favorite being the cubicle ....reminds me of the cubicles at work...but the combination is absolutely awesome. Can I give you a thousand and one thumbs up??. Thank you Barbara...I enjoy your videos and appreciate that you do not add music or speed up the video. I was watching some other channels but the music and high speeds were making me very nervous. I also appreciate the fact that you remind us that our art does not have to be perfect... And when a little mistake is made you say, "that's okay."

You're so welcome and thank you for your comments. 🥰 I only have one video with music that unfortunately was too loud, but I couldn't adjust it after the video. So it was my first and last try, LOL! I also get very anxious when there is too much music or the video is sped up. Thanks for watching!

Thank you. What is the difference between Tangle patterns and Zentangle?

Hi Jana. Zentangle refers to the method but also refers to your completed piece of art, such as the 3 1/2 inch tile. The tangle pattern is what you get after you follow step outs. The Tangle Patterns website has some great information: tanglepatterns.com/zentangles/what-is-a-zentangle
