awesome interview. 104.5 has always cared about this band, and it shows in the caliber of questions they deliver. finally getting to hear about their feelings about Bbc and the Stressed Out lyric change was so great
wow. we (yes I'm saying we because we're all a clique. not 2 but one. we go through everything together with this band.) made Ty feel insecure about a song that was about his insecurities. we're sorry and we will always sing along |-/
i wish people would understand... he has anxiety!! he doesn't like to talk most of the time! so ofc he didn't use it, and ofc he doesn't get the mic very much.
it's just giving him the option though. also it's not really good to enable ppl with anxiety, josh even talked about pushing yourself (i freak out over phone calls, i could never be a telemarketer lol)
Great interview; great questions and great answers! Also, a lot of people say they don't like Stressed Out because it became too mainstream, but I don't really get why. Tyler says he likes the song, so why don't we too? I still love Stressed Out even though it's a bit overplayed on the radios.
the newer car radio and stressed happen to be my least favorite songs by them, but not because they're mainstream, because they're more rap than the rest of their songs, and that's just not the kind of music I generally enjoy, I like the old car radio because there's a depth of emotion in the way he talks that's deep enough I consider it singing. Maybe other clique members feel the same? that might be part of the reason.
