104-Year-Old Marine Corps Veteran Collecting Valentine`s Day Cards

He looks absolutely great for someone who is 104-years old. I might have to follow that healthy breakfast. What a sweet man, I hope him all the best.

One tough man! I love our oldest generation and it’s sad to say that we are losing our WWII veterans more and more due to natural causes. They are my heroes! These brave guys went through hell back in 1940. They are so blessed for this many years of life and the joy they share. I used to take care of a woman that used to work at a local ammunition depot back in 1940, her husband in the war and her at home making bullets for the men fighting overseas. She was a strong woman and much beloved by all of us nursing employees. Sadly she has passed 1 year ago. I still remember her stories of strength and courage through it all. She will be missed dearly

Our students at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, TX are so impressed with Maj White that they have put together a very special Valentine for him. As they prepare to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima on February 19th, they will proudly keep Maj White in mind. He is living history, a true hero like the ones our students learn about and see every morning when they salute the flag on the Iwo Jima Monument. Our Valentines are on their way Maj White.😊

The family of Major White would like to thank everyone who sent cards, letters and gifts for Operation Valentine. At last count, he had received around 400,000 cards! Again thank you! He will be busy with those scrapbooks for a long time to come!
