I just love mine I got a seedling over the summer and its been a wild ride. At first I thought it was going to die because once it’s sprouted leaves they started to weirdly droop and I found that a centipede has been eating it. But once I brought it indoors and re-potted to make sure everything was OK it seems to be doing better but still has droopy leaves but on the positive side I just ordered a few bulbs from South Africa.

Hi TC! Thanks for subscribing😀 I bought the one in this video and another of similar size from a nursery out of California called Desert Creations. They have a shop, but also sell online. The online shop is on a bit of hiatus after the holiday. But check them out. They sell top notch plants. Thanks for watching 🤍

Thanks Gary! It’s definitely one of my favorite plants. I have 5 of them🥰 They are incredibly slow growers. The seedling is growing well, although still small😀

Do these drop their leaves each year? I recently purchased a boophone bulb, but it has no leaves. I’m excited to pot it up soon, and just wondering what to expect.

I’ve read that they do drop their leaves before flowering in the Spring. I’m excited to watch mine!

Awesome! They are such fun plants. I don't think I have a specific care video for them. However, I have found them to be super easy to care for. I have mine in fast draining, cactus type soil mixture. Their roots are big... not sure the size of your plant. If it's a seedling, no worries on vessel size/depth. They are super slow growers. If it's an older plant make sure you put it in a deeper pot so the roots have room. In the spring and summer mine are outside in full sun. I water them every 2 or 3 weeks. In the Winter I bring them inside and cut back on watering. Good luck!
