Any mods done to the car? I have the same car and engine, bought it just recently. Im considering doing some mods. Any tips? Its a great little fun car, Im loving it so far! coming from fiat punto mk1.

hello i've bought last year a 106 xsi 1,4 from 93 and it is my 3rd car so i have some experience, my opinion is that it is a great handling car but you need a lot of awareness driving it. It goes very well in tight roads and gives a lot of information to the driver , very fun to drive. When you lift the gas mid corner you get a lot of lift off oversteer so you need experience to control it. For a beginner dont do anything to the suspension and dont put slicks cause it will make the car more edgy and dangerous , let your self learn its character and you will know your needs later. If you need a daily driver i wont recommend a xsi or 1.3 rallye because the motor has a lot of power at the top but not so much torque at low revs combined with the low range gearbox it gets difficult in traffic (but if you want a future classic that kills bigger cars at bendy roads get one of those) if you can have a 1,6 get a s2 rallye or gti (if you go to track days and so) if you need a daily driver the 1,4 l 75 hp is the one you need. Whatever you get it is a less than 900kg car that corners fast and needs attention and it is less than good at crash test so drive carefully
