Here's an Easter Egg I bet most people missed. In the episode "The Great Dime Chase" Gyro Gearloose pulls out a list of all of the robots he built that turned evil. On this list one of the robots of the evil side was labeled Cogs: this is a reference to the 2003 disney MMO RPG ToonTown Online where the enemies are a legion of evil robots created by Gyro Gearloose with the same name.
I feel so bad for people that dismiss this series because it's not like the old one. It's so amazing what they've been able to do with it, and you can tell the people that work on it really care about the source material. Not giving it a chance is so unfair. I grew up with the old version and I'm a huge fan of the new one! Franchises should be allowed to evolve over time, as long as it's done well and respectfully.
Yeah, I really find it annoying when people don't like reboots because it differs from the original. That's the main thing you should do when it comes to reboots, differ it from the original. If you don't, things won't get interesting.
Tbh I never seen the old Ducktales, but watching the reboot got me into the Ducktales fandom and I'm considering watching it. I don't even like old cartoons lol.
Definitely. I grew up watching the original but I think this one is better for the differences. The triplets are now distinguishable from each other and there are better written female characters too.

Alan Young's Scottish accent was genuine, as well. Both of his parents were Scottish, and the family moved back to Scotland when Young was a toddler. Alan Young said in interviews that he had tried to get rid of his Scottish accent when he moved to America, but it proved useful when he was cast as Scrooge. So Tennant is NOT the first Scottish Scrooge voice.
No doubt about it, my absolute favorite DuckTales character is Fenton Crackshell Cabrera. 1. He is voiced by Lin Manuel Miranda (one of my idols and people I fangirl over) 2. HE IS A HERO and shot freaking SHADOW MONSTERS WITH A LAZER GUN IN THE LAST EPISODE IN SEASON 1 LIKE 😳 3. Fenton is really just a sweet guy who I would love to hang out with if I could ☺️

Louie is my favorite! I was disappointed he didn't get his own short while I was waiting for more episodes, and when he didn't get a "Why is *x* the best duck?" segment from Bobby Moynihan, cause Louie *is* the best duck~!
Do American kids really not know much about duckburg? It's seams so surreal for me because in Scandinavia Micky wasn't really that popular but we did have a weekly Donald Duck comic magazine for decades but it was demoted to monthly like 10 years ago as many felt it lost quality in the stories. But everyone growing up, at least to the 2000s should know about don rosa and carl barks as they where the big favourites and now and then,'especially around Easter and Christmas they would sell "special" magazines with their stories

This show has been a smashing success. Thanks for showing that a reboot can be done right guys. I really really hope this eventually clears the way for other reboots of the Disney after noon like Darkwing duck,Talespin,Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers,Goof Troop etc. A reboot is only bad if it is done badly. Put people that grew up watching the original series in charge of these reboots,and they are likely to be done better.

Catherine Tate has reunified with David in the past. Technically she was just supposed to be Donna in the final moments of Doomsday before the Runaway Bride. When Catherine mentioned she loved being Donna they brought her back!! That’s reuniting.

I discovered a big book of ducktales comics in the library near my house when I was like eight and I've loved them ever since. I didn't realize they were called the ducktales though, since they were labelled scrooge mcduck comics or something, so I was all the more excited when i saw the trailer for the show! I haven't watched much other than the pilot though, since my parents cut the cable shortly after, but now that we have disney+ I'm going to watch it allllllll
So, by shutting down any Webby-Huey/Duey/Louie shipping, and by subtle hints from the first episode, they've basically told us Webbie IS somehow related by blood to Scrooge.

I was born in 2004 so I never got to watch the original when it was airing since it was way before I was born. However, I do very much enjoy the reboot and it made me go back and watch the original series which I also enjoy! Overall, both the 1987 and 2017 versions of the show are so much fun!

Content was nice, I love Ducktales. But writing a script that can be read as it's own text (which this is) and then calling it 107 facts is just lazy and clickbait-ey. It's like going to wikipedia, reading the Personal Life section of some Hollywood actor, and putting a new number ("fact") every 2 or 3 sentences. See what I mean?
I'm actually surprised you say more about Kate Micucci and I say that because this it her FOURTH time voice a character on a disney xd animated show. Her disney xd roles (in order) are: Julie Kane(Motorcity), the Cute-ling General(episode of Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero), Sara Murphy(Milo Murphy's Law), and, of course, Webby Vanderquack(Ducktales).
I actually like that Duckworth is now a ghost who helps protect Scrooge from the villains, while still acting as a ghostly butler Hope he stays for a while

Donald was in several episodes of the original series. The first episode begins him with him leaving for the navy and leaving the nephews with Scrooge. For example there is an arc a few episodes long where the gang has to go to save Donald from military court after he was hypnotized and made to give up government secrets.
