Although I don't have personal experience with BC Racing, I have heard good things about them, and they are on the short list. How do you find the ride comfort?
Did u have to do any other mods to install them? Camber or dampening? Or is it just install and adjust. I wanna get the bc coilovers. But idk what to get.
On the Touring Model, without the ADS bypass modules, you not only will throw a light in the information center, but you will no longer have Sport Mode. You must purchase D2’s bypass modules for approx. $300. After that, you are good to go. (2019 Touring Accord with BC Coilovers)
Great to know about the loss of Sport mode - I was not aware of that. Thanks for the watch and comment. I’m sure others will find this valuable as well.
How do you like the BC coilovers? Did you get the BR series? How is the ride quality? I have a 2020 Touring and I'm looking to install the BR series coilovers and the D2 modules as well.
@@jaycity836 The coil overs I purchased from BC Racing for approximately $950, the bypass modules from D2 were $300. I installed them myself. It is not too difficult. You can always refer to RU-vid videos on how to install. So, your looking at approximately $1300. I hope this helps. It is well worth it. Have fun with your project. Take care…
I have a touring 2.0T and this is my first car I've had nothing but trucks in my life but I just gotta say it's crazy expensive to change the suspension on a car compared to lifting or lowering a truck and that's just crazy to think about because there's bigger and more parts for the truck then the car so I just don't understand how these companies can charge this much when you can get a 6 or 8 inch lift for a truck costing around the same if not cheaper depending on companies it's just insane but overall I'm in love with this car I still love the trucks I have it's just a whole different experience
I hear you, price doesn’t necessarily correspond to cost or quality.... when I did have a Porsche, everything was outrageous, simply because they could get away with it. 🙄
@@TheLemonFactor I haven't seen that video yet but I watched your exhaust video and it helped me decide on the borla exhaust you have very good knowledge in your video thank you for taking the time out of your day to make these.
Came across your channel yesterday and I’m glad I did. The information and description s you give out in each video helps a lot. Especially these videos that have to do with suspension. I have a 2020 Honda Accord Sport 1.5t and was wondering which fits better with my driving style. Quick question, I know you keep mentioning the “Touring”’model “ADS” suspension, does my Accord model have that? I have the options to either drive in Eco mode, normal mode, and Sport mode so I was wondering if that fits under the ADS description. After looking at this video, I’m leaning towards the Tein Flex Z because I still want a comfortable ride since it’s my daily.
@@TheLemonFactor - The Fortunes look fantastic, but I’m actually working on an OldSKool Accord, a 2002 EX V6 and doesn’t look like the Fortune Auto 500s are available for my application ☹️
@@TheLemonFactor will i really lose sport mode though? i can’t find any info on this anywhere else but besides here and don’t want to spend the extra 300 unless i have no choice
Hello My friend thanks for the review I have a 2016 Honda v6 Touring Thinking of the D2 coil overs with the module let me know if this is available For my car once again thank you 👍
I basically watch all your accord info on suspension and convert the knowledge to Camry since I can’t find any in-depth Camry suspension tuning videos and the cars are in the same class and weigh about the same.
@@TheLemonFactor it will probably happen with my next car. We use to be a Honda family but the CVT transmissions and direct injection engines scared me because it wasn’t something I’m use to and I went with the 2.5l engine mated with an actual 6speed transmission. Knowing what I know now I would have gotten an accord.
Not having direct experience with all of the coilovers offered, I wouldn't want to answer and steer you wrong. With that said, I'd go with something that doesn't have too aggressive a spring rate and has a high degree of dampening adjustability in order to dial-in your ride.
Thanks for the video. I know you didn’t mention this in the video, but what are yours thoughts on the new Eibach Sportline Kit and Eibach Pro Kit for the 10th Gen Honda Accord??
Thanks for the watch and comment. Actually, I do have another video specific to lowering springs, "(10th Gen) 2018+ Honda Accord Lowering Springs - Suspension Mods!" and a final video, "Lowering Springs vs. Coilovers (10th Gen Honda Accord) - Which is best?", both have reference to Eibach springs.
Depending on the dealership they’ll give you a hard time anytime you change any part for a non-OEM. However, for them to deny warranty coverage it needs to be that your change caused the need for repair. They can’t deny you warranty coverage for fixing a problem with your engine because you have coilovers, but they may deny coverage if you have suspension related issues 🤷♂️
@@Honda_life_2020_ i have a 2020 touring also, how are they holding up so far? How's the ride quality? When you put it in sport mode can you still tell a difference in the ads?
Neither... don't go over potholes - not only is it harsh on your suspension, but you can bend a rim and blow a tire (I've been there). In all seriousness, the best option is stock, but if you were going to go aftermarket, pick the one that was developed to work together (coilovers), one that has a relatively lower spring rate, and one that is adjustable.
What does compatible with ADS mean? Is there a difference in performance? I have a 2021 Accord Sport 2.0T. Since ADS is a touring model feature, do I need to worry about anything?
ADS means air inflated springs. In other words, little air bags in place of springs. By adjusting the air pressure you change the ride. Only the Touring model has this feature.
@vMiro7 - ADS is the active dynamic suspension found on the Touring model. If you replace the shocks on a Touring model you will get a dash error message unless you connect an adapter kit. You can replace the springs on the Touring model without any issues 👍
Coilovers are height adj by either shortening the spring, or by adj the shock body. For the D2 Racing coilovers I was unable to confirm if the height is adj by the shock body, thus the "?". Height adj via the shock body is preferred as it maintains the full spring rate of the springs. Hope this helps.
@@clausehardcastle8649 I remember that several allow adjustment to the front camber, but do not remember any of them having the adjustment for rear. If not, you'll have to get a separate part.
I’ve had Megan racing street series, truhart, & now I just ordered d2s rs will see how those ride truhart not the best Megan racing playing with it you can make it ride better then stock
I really want to thank for doing this. I like a comfortable ride and I have zero knowledge on this stuff. It was going to be a tormenting process. I’m going through the same thing with exhaust. I want some performance and some nice exhaust notes but I don’t want to wake up my whole neighborhood parking in my driveway when I get home late at night
