That's awesome, I'm glad the west is recognizing Dir en grey and X Japan, ppl seem more open to the European stuff but now Japan is showing how hard they kick ass!!!! Here in Spain we got awesome bands!!! I'll say some: Hamlet Megara Vita Imana Tierra Santa Saurom Warcry Toundra (they are instrumental but they are so good) El Altar Del Holocausto (also instrumental) Nadye Umbra Salduie

Seriously? Where are all the great bands from Latin America not to mention Italy, Spain and Portugal. Rata Blanca comes to mind from Argentina, not death metal but kicking ass since 1986.

This could have been an entire list of Jrock and Visual Kei in my opinion, I haven’t found a single bad band in Japan.

I clicked for Rammstein but Dir En Grey sound like a Japanese version of Queensryche. That's a good thing.

One really great band that don't sing in English is "B.T.R." (don't confuse them with Big Time Rrush). They were founded in 1984 and sing only in Bulgarian. You all should check them out because they are one of the greatest metal bands in my country.

Polish speaking bands deserve more attention. Polish thrash metal scene is very strong. Hunter is one of my favourite metal bands. Check them out. ("T.E.L.I." is their best album) Also Kat and Turbo are commonly considered in Poland as very good metal bands.

Sotajumala was an excellent Finnish Death Metal band. Their lyrics are based around Finnish war history. Teloitus is a good starter song for them if anyone is interested.

Einstürzende Neubauten have been doing it since *1980*, and helped define a genre. Leaving them off this list is criminal.

B'z from Japan have been knocking out great pop rock for 30+ years. Great mix of pop, rock, touches of metal (particularly late 90s/early 2000s. Wonderful live act too.

Plastic People of the Universe and Už jsme Doma are both amazing Czech bands. Krautrock scene was amazing too.
