I had a PSA 4 that had the tiniest surface crease on the back, otherwise flawless. Cracked it and sent to SGC expecting a 7 or 8. It got a 5. I think the days of sneaking those cards past SGC may be over lol.
I was hoping for better on some of those, buddy, but that Pujols upgrade is a nice win. Everything looks great fitted in tuxes as well. Good to see the return, LV!
Yeah, wasn’t too happy with the order, but they do look good in their tuxes 👌 I need to check out your PTSD awareness vids later tonight. Hope you’re having a good week!
@@littlevictoriessportscards197 Likewise man! Check out @Hammieandson because he started it, I'm just along for the support. #2for22 #wecare < these links should bring up a list of the videos. Thanks LV!
Thank you! 🙌 Can you do me a favor and let me know how you do? If you think your orders were graded tight or accurate 👍 I need a bigger sample size to back my observations :)
@@littlevictoriessportscards197 I’ve been grading with them a lot lately and I feel just in the last month or so they’ve become a little more strict on their Grading but I think they are definitely accurate
This video makes me a little nervous for my incoming 13 card SGC submission. Do you think they are grading tougher now because of the new ownership by PSA? Seems a bit fishy to me.
Definitely a possibility. Timeline is pretty coincidental 🤪 I’m just going to keep my SGC orders small for now 👌 Let me know how your SGC order turns out
After seeing a few others do the same with SGC and seeing things aren't too different, I'm thinking of trying TAG as my secondary. I wonder if SGC is grading the same as PSA due to common ownership now.
I wondered the exact same thing! Yeah, I wouldn’t mind exploring around for a new secondary grading company 👍 How much does Tag cost per card nowadays?
one thing I wonder when people crack out a PSA card because they think the card will get a bump at SGC...if the bump is only 1 grade, like a PSA 8 to SGC 9, what is the end goal of cracking and resubmitting, because the value of the PSA 8 is most likely higher or similar to the SGC 9...not that everything has to be about money, but most people do want their cards to be worth more in the end..
For awhile there I was getting a two grade bump, that’s why I did it 👍 I miss those days already 🤣 Money aside…I also did it because I hate looking at cards in a 8.5 or lower grade, so mentally having a card in a SGC mint 9 slab felt better. Thanks for always commenting! LV
For the quick turnaround time, cuz we like the look of their slabs, and for the fun of it. Plus it gets boring using the same grading company over and over again. I love PSA, but it’s nice having at least two companies to use 🙌
Companies grade differently and if you think SGC will grade a card a 10 and PSA would grade it a 9 then the resale value might be higher with the SGC 10. For example, PSA is notorious for giving low grades for thicker cards, whereas SGC is known to be more lenient on thick cards.
The turnaround time is the main reason I mean 10-15 days compared to 30+ is a big difference plus it is cheaper with the specials and they grade more leniently.
Unfortunately no. I think they already came out and said that recently. It’s because they still each grade with different standards 👍 Thanks for watching! 🙌
Just spent a bunch on COMC & had a stack of potential SGC submissions that had minor flaws PSA would surely ding. Think you saved me some money. Thank you for your service LV 🫡
Smart just sending to COMC 👌 Especially with their 25% off submissions right now. Although, you might want to send a few basketball cards to SGC with their $12 per card special. That price point might make profitable sense 🙌
