Also slightly easier is you can just hold F1 when you haven't selected a group and you'll be able to tell the last group you picked (if you haven't picked one in a fight it will be everyone) to hold position on a flag, you don't need to use the menu every time.
Just as a note to add ontop of your video (Which is fantastic, by the way). You can also do all the command Via clicking Backspace and clicking orders on the map, which can make it alot easier in huge battles
I also like to hav my reliable but weak companions labeled important on unit types, so i can keep them out but alive in battle for the surgury perk and first aid for the long run keeping everyone aliveusong surgery, because ur units start to die if ur medic gets knocked out
Joseph Larsen Yea. I set my doctors/engineers as group 4, and I call them Specialists or something like that and just tell them to hold position at spawn.
F1 - i dint know about that but now i use my archers on a hill and send my infintary on the side and cav on the other side so my archers pepper the enemy and then i send my infintry to fuck with the enemy with a downhill charge and then i send my cav to sandwich my enemy .
Hmmm yeah that was new . I've been selecting group backspace to bring up map then designating an appropriate spot with consideration for the incoming assailants. I like this better though ;) ,but would have hated it when I first started playing . when learning, the battles are just chaos . I had to focus on just staying alive, then timing melee on horseback ,then archery then command. Good thing Swadia was pretty much good to go from the gate . I'd have never made it as a rhodock.
It does not feel like: "yet another one of these mounten blade videos". It feels like: Nice he made another one. (where i learn you can hold the F1 key)
So is it better to have hired blades and mercenaries and stuff or people who are specific to a nation? Like should I have mostly Rhodock units since im Rhodock.
it depends you can use one group if you want like I for example only use swadia or you can mix and match different units like swadia knights rhodock Spearman and vaegir archers
For those who are asking this same question: If you want to burn your name to Calradian school books: use non-faction specific troops so you can change your opponent willy-nilly and not care that the Rhodok troops start to desert your army if you attack any of the starting Rhodok places and their kingdom. Or if you like to play a little micromanagey, put the Rhodoks on garrison duty whilst attacking their lands and their original nominal leaders. and they should be just fine. Same goes for any faction specific troops whilst attacking their starting faction.
i like to put my medics and everyone else that sucks at combat on a separate group i call "support" and just have them hold position right at the start
I need help my gaming laptop is weird and when I hit f2-f9 it doesn’t do anything in the game it will lower my brightness or turn the lights on my keyboard
since i have a pc i cant use the f1 keys. besides changing the controls does anyone know how to use the f1 keys without them configuring the utilities?
juan figueroa All dpad, also if you hold the right dpad when giving a command you can do the fancy thin they do in this game and choose an exact place to command them. (btw I call dpad the + arrow things in the left side, not sure what they are called, hope it helps.) also this is for the Ps4, dunno xbox, probably same thing. Also if you want to add me on psn to play together and stuff let me know :)
Sounds like you are on a laptop and your function keys are not enabled. Try figuring out how to enable them and it wont mute your game and work correctly :)
Mikhael Kohen Hit right on the D pad to bring up commands. Left is your minimap, which you can also issue commands through and down is drop weapon. Don't press down.
