This video has more helpful info than hours of most channels! You are becoming my go to for tips. Plus the visuals just keep getting better and better. No slow talking and editing to stretch out meagre content.
I'm 5ft~ if I gain 5 lbs I look so frumpy! My personal body shape is very challenging to style. Although, I do love small frame I see nothing wrong at any age to look my best only because I want to. Everyone is different and I support woman's journey. ❤
I like your style ! I don't know what exactly did you study, but to me you give the most ''architectural'' explanation of what to do to look taller and slimmer. I'm not as petit as you are , but I feel that you helped me a lot going thru my closet and selecting what to wear to look slimmer and more confident - thank you! Greetings from Poland! BTW I always hated very round or square toe shoes - they make everyone look infantile and short legged.
I think your colours are the same as me, winter dark, you look best in grey white and pastels. Beige washes you out, dark brown great. Great show, thank you.
Dang sister in the beige pants shoes and white top your legs alone look a mile long amazing absolutely love you appreciate you and you are so funny entertaining 😂❤️💕
Chi, you are a genious. How did you figure out all these rules?! Before watching your videos, shopping for clothing, in my case, was more like buying lottery tickets, depending on random luck. Now I have a much clearer idea what to look for. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
I love your advice. I’m 5 ft. Tall.I need all the advice I can get! I am hooked on dresses this summer, and I have so many great styling options for all of them. One dress four looks! You have given me so much good advice…
Wow! I cannot believe there is a petite woman channel! I’m 4’ 9”, and the tallest I’ve ever been was 4’ 10 1/2”. I cried when I was 18 after I realized I wasn’t going to get any taller. I’ve had to be careful with my clothes, and learned to sew at an early age, making my own patterns. 3/4 sleeves are a Godsend! And, just make sure your long sleeves are hemmed to the right length, or you look unkempt. I’m so excited that there’s a channel for us! Thank you!
I think its hard for shorter people as tallness is such a celebrated feature. I’m 5’4” and was the shortest in my family. My brother was very tall as were some cousins and I used to get so sick of all the adults raving about their height when they’d visit. They all became quite confident arrogant people. My brother’s children are even taller so we never stop hearing about that either, while my daughter is petite at around 5’1”. Not only do we have to deal with their superiority complex but we also have to put a lot more work & money into our own clothing, hemming & tailoring outfits etc. I have told my daughter there is no way around it, we just have to accept if you want your clothes to look good, you have to accept the fact we need to put in more time, effort & money than a taller person. (And thankfully channels like this one in particular really help in all those areas).
@@universaltruth2025 I think it’s all about confidence! I used to teach high school, and even the 6’ 6” students listened to me because of my voice. My daughter is also 5’1”, and a bulldog in sales! However, many times I was not taken seriously! I remember standing in line and the people behind the counter kept passing me by! I was so mad! Also, people try to take advantage of you, as well.
Your channel is the best! I’m 5’3 and hourglass (36-24-35) so its a challenge to dress for my shape 🙈 You have given me so much understanding to why some styles just looks wrong on me.
I can't express how you have help me transform my dressing .Am 5'3 and I agree with you when you say finding what works for petite ladies are a bit of handful .
I am 4’10 You are my lifesaver . I have dressed better since I watched videos. Your Chanel is the best in all of the Chanels I have watched . You tips how to look taller for people under 5 ‘2 . Thank you so much! ❤❤
Yay a channel for my people lol! I'm 4'11" and love this channel, very helpful. I'm in love with the white tweed jacket in time stamp 3:03, what brand, I have to find one, beautiful! Fairly new to the channel, but would you consider doing one that shows how to create many outfits out of a few pieces? I feel like I have a large wardrobe but can't put pieces together to well.
What brand of jeans are the dark rinse with the rusty? Color turtleneck in the beginning of the video where you suggested to push up the sleeves? Thank you!!!
Just came across your channel....we dress very similarly...!! You gave me some great ideas on how to pair what items I already have in a much flattering way. Thank you! :)
Great tips! The reason 3/4 sleeves make you look taller is because ones eyes always looks at skin first making ones arms look longer so your legs look longer too. Also wherever the sleeve hits, that’s where your eyes attention will look to on your body. i.e. short sleeve/bust, elbow/waist.
Hi! Love your videos so much! Love that you explain the reasons why a style works, not just showing it. Can you please make a video about what wedding dresses flatter petite women? Thank you!!! 💕
@@lindaesquibel3457 no I'm not. Not at 36. Not yet anyways, but aging is part of life. No one is or gets younger. Everyone is getting older even infants.
I subscribed to your videos not to long ago and I have been binge watching them ever since 😄! They are so well informed and so much fun to watch! thank you so much ❤
Great tips on looking taller in our clothes. I agree a pointy toe heel goes a long way in making the outfit look flattering and simply gorgeous to wear. The nude pumps are the way to go love those nude pumps they are chic on you. Have an amazing week Chi. Love XO 💖😊
I find it difficult to find matching colour of top to my pants. For example, a shade of blue that isn’t navy, it is brighter or closer to Aqua. Great tips!💋
I'm a new subscriber and love your videos. Just purchased something from your shop. I agree with you that there used to be a lot of petite-sized clothing in major stores and now it's really hard to find. I'm 78 years old and in the design business so always interested in what looks fashionable but also looks good on my body. It's a challenge! Thanks for explaining about the reason Nicole Ritchie (who is she??) looks good in anything even though she's only 5'1": it's because of the way her body and head are proportioned! Keep up the good work!!
What kind of shoes can I wear when I have bunions? I want to wear high heels and pointed toes shoes, but they cause so much pain now. So what are good options?
Love monochromatic and neutral colors. I also like the drop waist length on a jacket. On me it looks better than cropped. 3/4 sleeves avoids the problem of sleeves that are too long. I also like the skirt length jacket with a top and pants the same neutral color. At 5'3" 150 pounds, I loving my new smaller size after weight loss. It a good time to experiment. But...I live in Houston Texas and it's super hot weather. I'm sure you talk about summer clothes too but the weather is extremely hot and one layer is enough. Baggy is in for some. What do you think?
Oooh helpful advice. Im 5'2" I wear v-necks, boat necks, mock turtle 3/4 sleeves. I try to look balanced out. Wide leg pants look great on me for my age. 🦊✨
Why you don't make videos teaching us to be stylish and prettier instead of " to look taller" ? I particularly like to be petite and I think we all should love ourselves to way we are... We don't have to be taller and slim to be accepted in society. We should value our bodies, our hight and instead of seeing ourselves as inferior figures. Thanks!
i am coming back and learning so much. Love the 3/4 sleeve! It does work! That is the best tip- I did not know that is why I like how they look so good! I have so many long sweater coats & love them but loving the duster length. I am going for longer coat, and I rock the shorter jacket always thank you for the bottom choice to make it look bettter. Buying the nude color shoes or in summer I found some that are clear mules and they will work. Others will work for me too. I love how you show how and why the choices work so much better. Thank You! Square toe dont work for me either. I do like pointy toe shoes if you pick the right ones. I got leather from 9 west. I think pairing them like you showed. I am a dress girl and always wear tights. Now i know how to wear my over the knee boots I have. Thank You! I have ankle boots yes they are challenging so I loved your tip and I like to match them to jeans and got compliments on them! Now I know why. Thank You. I like to go in closet and try different combinations you are helping me so much to not have to spend so much time trying to make the challenging items really rock! Wow! I really appreciate your tips. They look so current and classy and not dowdy. I am so happy to see the size print on your top as I thought to get sleeve length I did buy some same size prints and I found a couple ways to make them work but I like how you really look so amazing in that top in this video. I am binge watching your videos today! I am learning so so much. I have a petite friend at the higher end of petite and cant wait to share your video's with her as she wants to look taller and leaner too. :-)
What brand or designer are your nude suede ankle boots? They appear to be shorter and therefore more comfortable than my ankle boots that seem to be taller?
I would love to wear nude pumps but for some reason a pump-style shoe will NOT stay on my foot. They slide right off the back of my foot each time I take a step. The shape of my foot is not pointed-toe but more squared off in the toes. Maybe this is why? Am I stuck with ankle strap shoes??
It's very interesting to learn about what gives the illusion of different proportions. But I have to say, if it's cold enough for me to wear a thick sweater, it's definitely too cold for me to push it up to show my arms! But it does make me think about long gloves and coats with cropped sleeves...
What kind & color of tennis shoes do you recommend…I’m looking at Golden Goose tennis shoes…what do you think? I’m under 5’ myself! You’re wonderful advise has really helped me! Love you! 🌷❤️💐
I am 5.1, yes, I am short, but although she has very good points, we want to have a model image and that is not the point, we are not models, but it seems that all races are not happy with their body type and face . In India, they are bleaching their faces to be whiter, Asians are doing eye surgeries to be rounder, short people want to be taller, there are contact eyes to change the color of these, paint their hair when there is gray. The average height for Japanese women is 5 feet 2 inches that is normal, in all Latin America it is almost the same. A beautiful personality is what makes you really different.
Hi Chi! Thank you for great vids and all the details you give for us Petite gals. Question; I have purchased a cropped Jean Jacket. Love it, but after watching this and suggesting we roll our sleeves for a 3/4 look, how do we do this with a crop jacket and make it look right? If you have addressed this issue in a previous video, please could you point me to that one so I can review it. Thank you in advance :)
