Guide to the basics exploring the jungle: • How To Explore The Jun...
The 11 Tips and Tricks:
1. Knowing the direct path to the temple. From the Belomisa Trailhead, enter the jungle, go directly along the long stretch, over the bridge, and and cut through the vines. Now you're at a section of the jungle that has four gates and you'll want to go through the North East gate, which can also be referred to as the third gate from the left, or the most central gate in the area.
2. Stock up on supplies at the marketplace before you start and try growing some foods like avocado's and banana's to help your sim with their needs as they adventure.
3. Train to level 5 Selvadoradian culture. This will help you access the secret store and avoid various bugs in the jungle. An easy way to do this is to continually view the Statue of Madre Cosecha.
4. Always go for the prize in text journeys. It can seriously pay off.
5. If you come across a tree of emotions (or two) pick them. Their berries are helpful for the Pressure/Emotion Plate traps
6. Train your sims skills to make examining traps more effective.
- Tall pillars with four = Fitness Skill
- Three block pillars that spin = Logic Skill
- Bowl offerings = Archaeology Skill
- Face totems = Charisma Skill
- Skeletons = Handiness Skill
- Pressure/emotion plates = Selvadoradian Culture
7. Look out for and study grouped historical artworks for an archaeology skill boost
8. For more treasure at level 4 archaeology you can survey for dig piles, and then at level six you can establish excavation sites on them to help you get some more treasure.
9. Be aware of aspirations. The Jungle Explorer aspiration award called treasure hunter in particular will increase the loot from chests by a hefty amount.
10. Try and get your hands on a rare Balampsaloth Death Relic, which can turn your sim into a skeleton for a period of time. As a skeleton their energy, hygiene, bladder and hunger skills will not decay making adventuring a breeze.
11. Know how to get an antidote for if your sim is poisoned. For this they can trade ancient bone dust (gained from adventuring) for it by chatting to locals, or even buy it outright from a computer for 1,000 simoleons.

In my experience, you occasionally get all of the emotion berries when you plant one of any type on your home lot but it's extremely rare. I love having a whole farm of these plants and absolutely have NOT used them to cause hysterical death in my Sims. Jungle Adventure is one of my favorite packs. I love it so much.

The selvadoradian culture skill is taught in the social studies class in high school years. Same with the archaeology skills.

I was wondering what the bone dust was for, now I know, thanks. Also that sim in the pool at the end, LOL. 😁

Good guide. Best I can do is add just some details about how other skills (not an intrinsic part of Jungle Adventures itself) can still make this pack just a little bit easier. Being aware that fully exploring the jungle *will* take several days, make sure your Sim is either "in between jobs," or has plenty (ideally a week or more) of vacation days built up for this. Splitting up multiple vacations over some lengthy time periods still works though. Also, don't forget the cost of the rental housing over time; this plus the purchasing of gear & food adds up pretty quickly. Yes, losing your machete is indeed a thing; it happened to me & I found that if the merchant has more than one machete available (merchant had two on my Sim's first-ever look at their goods but had none at all afterward; Not knowing any better at the time, I only bought one), it's a good idea to buy up to four or five if you can. This is just a tip for those who are taking their first trip into the jungle, so that they can be prepared for it *before* they go. Besides all of the smaller gear, a tent (or cot) & portable cooler comes in handy; food & a decent place to sleep can be found in the wild but they're not as efficient as a tent & cooler. Lanterns are good too but you can't carry them as you walk around so they're best used if you're going to be in a particular area for a long time (camp site or excavation site) at night or merely to see some features better while exploring; One or two lanterns will be sufficient but don't forget to pick them back up again before you leave the area. If your Sim is into the Cooking/Baking/Gourmet Cooking skills, each type of food you order from the bar or the food merchant is another recipe you unlock; you can cook those dishes any place you can cook food if you have the ingredients (gardeners can harvest some types, any Sim can get a few on their phones in the Purchase Gifts list). If you have the inclination to do it, you can get *all* ingredients for *all* of the recipes & just carry a few of each in your Inventory; The Inventory gets pretty cluttered though, so if you choose only a few recipes to prepare then that's good enough. A gardener (Base Game and/or Cottage Living) can also hang on to some of what they harvest & plant them later in their home gardens. A gardener that also has the interaction options to apply their skill to a plant in the wild, then that will help it's growth so you can harvest a little more frequently & on later trips into the wild; I find that it's cheapest to carry a bunch of apples around to use as fertilizer & you can always get more from Purchase Gifts on your phone. There are better fertilizers available but they're more costly for just carrying them around, plus Apples only take up one Inventory slot (less clutter). A little unorthodox but if your Sim is a spellcaster (Realms of Magic) then the Floralodial spell is *really* handy. Occasionally look for places (not very common outside of your home lot) where you could cast Herbio...It'll instantly sprout a plant & allow for more future harvesting; an Herbio-created plant is counted by the game as a "wild" plant, not a "garden" plant, unless you cast it *directly* on a Planting Box/Pot/Garden Plot. Experimenting with your Cauldron at home just *might* grant you some new discoveries; what you get with experimentation is random. It's pretty rare but planting an Emotion Tree at home *may* produce all different types of berries...But it's a small random chance so you may want to plant more than one.

Your Sim can also get poisoned if you add the Creepy Crawlies Lot Challenge to your lot. I didn't know this and one of my Sims in a rags to riches I was playing nearly died because I needed to get to the jungle to get the antidote for her.

Helpful video. I need the explore (see what I did there?) this pack more than I have. Sadly, its one of my less used packs and something tells me that's a shame. Thanks and have a great day!
