You can never have too many books. Even if you can't pass all of your information to your children or grandchildren, you can leave them the books. God bless & keep growing

My theory on the bumper crops…God helping those that are following Him. I’m seeing a ton of believers just “feeling” this is the year to grow more. I have some of these books I’ll check out restoration agricultural because that sounds right up my alley…I’m not a babysitting gardener. I’d add Seed to Seed to this list especially for beginners and those that wanna start saving seeds.

"Vegetables Containing the Largest Amounts of Vitamin C". "Vegetables Containing Largest Amounts of B-Complex Vitamins". "... Vitamin A". "... Vitamin E". This is a small list of what you can learn from this publication. The other is The Folk Remedy Encyclopedia. By the Editors of FC&A Medical Publishing. Again, addressing everything from Allergies, heart disease, kidney stones, tinnitus, wounds and more in a natural way.

For the casual gardener, check out Ruth Stout's book "Gardening Without Work." I found it to be a similarly relaxed approach comparable to Fukuoka's "One Straw Revolution." It's also a fun read that complements Fukuoka's approach.

Your videos have certainly been blessing. My land is very much like yours. I'm not interested in a lot of heavy grade work at this point. I want to work with what I've got. I ordered One Straw Revolution after hearing your opinion of it. It arrived today. I read an article on Fukuoka years ago but was not aware the book was available.

I've read the whole thing because it was in one of the first PDC classes held in the US. I would add two more books if you are in areas with more than 40" of rain and zone 7 plus hardiness; winter gardening in a maritime climate, and growing under cover.

I'm so glad you shared the book on rainwater harvesting. That is a goal of ours to get knocked out this summer. I have been picking up equipment for a while now as I see it come available but we've never done anything like that before. We also believe we have a water source at the bottom of our property but not sure how to access it. I'm hoping this will give us some insight or at least point us in the right direction. Thanks!!

I have several of those books, and have added a couple to my wish list. Some more resources to add to your list of books: Water-Wise Gardening by Steve Solomon, and The Florida Survival Garden by David the Good (also all of his other books, including Grocery Row Gardening). Water-Wise Gardening is useful anywhere that you might have to grow food without irrigation. And David's books are surprisingly useful even if you don't live in his deep-south growing region.

I have already read most of the stack, but now that I have fulfilled what I promised to send to Justin, I will be able to spend more on getting my own copies instead of reading from the library. Then I can expand on other titles from the authors. Always glad to get reading suggestions; do you have any recommendations on greenhouse construction?

I've already got 7 of those (and a bunch more), I've recommended and sent multiple copies of Gaia's Garden as I believe it's one of the most readable introductions to Permaculture out there. If someone comes from a Christian viewpoint, I also highly recommend Joel's "The Marvelous Pigness of Pigs" which speaks to the "why" from that perspective, not just what you grow, but as a consumer. I've not only got the Rainwater Harvesting book (2 copies) but just finished their course.

Do you know long gmo herbicides last in the soil? We are about to put an offer on a farm that has been gmo farmed and are wondering how that will affect our crops next year that will not be gmo. I've been looking everywhere for that info and no one seems to be talking about how it takes to turn gmo land into non gmo farming or organic practices. maybe I don't know how to ask the question to find the answer out. Have you seen any info on this topic?
