Q2:A, because it has 3 arrows instead of 4 like the others. Q4:B,because it's a pentagon, not a quadrilateral. Q8:A,F because the green and yellow are next to each other in both quadrilaterals and the purple and blue have the same connection. Q10:A, because the arrows have to go in a different direction like the other 2 and it goes down from 7,6,5 so the missing is 6 arrows. Q12:B, because you can put the 2 in the front fold the 4 onto the side and put the 3 on the top. Thank you.
Q2-A / Q4-a because all the 3 shapes are quadrilaterals but b is an iregular pentagon. Q6-a /Q8 a+f/Q10-A because the first middle row has 4 lines then the next has 5, so the missing one has to have 6 figures. Q12-b
This thing totally reminds me of me taking the test last year. I hope everyone who will or had already done it but waiting for their results will have a great future.
Thanks again Richard for your time and effort. You did a fantastic job. Thank you Richard for the great videos. I learned a lot from them. I have a comment on Q11, which is that A cannot be the correct answer, because the white triangle, in the grid, is pointing to the black square. Whereas the white triangle in Choice A points in the direction of the black star. Correct me if I was wrong. Thanks again Richard for your time and effort. You did a great job, keep it up.
Q10- B because on the grid the bendy arrows have 6 arrows on the 1st picture and on the last picture is has 7 bendy arrows and on B it has 5 bendy arrows and it follows the pattern from the whole grid that the picture in the middle is always facing the opposite way from the first and last picture.
Personally, there isn't an answer for Q11. The triangle is oriented into a different angle. If both of the triangles were second to last, then it would've been A.
Exactly. The triangle has its base next to the dot, and the black star should be pointing away from the black dot. The makers of these tests lost the plot themselves... They should've made a paper cut-out.
2:a because there are 3 arrows instead of 4 3: b because it’s a pentagon and pentagons have 5 sides not 4 6: a because it has to go in different directions 8 : a,f because have have the same colours and they have been rotated in different directions 10: a because there a 7 and 5 arrows at the bottom row and it goes in numerical order so ther has to be 6 arrows 12: b Because you can put the 2 dots in a front fold then the four dots can be put at the side and the 3 dot can be put on top Thank you I really needed help on non verbal reasoning
Q12 B because in cubes D and A, the black circle isn’t in between the three dots and the six dots leaving B and C. In C, since the two dots is next to the six dots, the black circle should be next to the six dots but it’s at the top leaving B. And to check, in cube B, the two dots is next to the four dots because when you fold the net, since the three dots are at the top, the four dots should be next to the two dots and the six dots should be next to the two dots, leaving the black circle at the back and the five dots at the bottom. I hope this helped 😊
Question 2 "A" because there are 3 arrows? Question 4 "A" because all four sides are equal in length? Question 6 "A" because the arrow isn't pointing to the small square? Question 8 "A" and "F"? Question 10 "A" because the lines are reduced by 1 each time and face in the opposite direction. Question 12 "B" because you wouldn't see the black dot because it will be at the back, 4 would be on the side, 3 would be on the top and 2 would be at the front. Thank you for explaining these so well! I'm an online tutor and often get asked about NVR. It's not a strong point of mine and I've enjoyed having a go with these questions! :D
Q10: A because the sequence for each row is going -1 of the shape given for that row from left to right. That means that in the last row, it should go 7, SIX, 5. This means that there should be 6 arrows which is in A.
Q12: B because the 2 dots are positioned on the front of the cube so either the 3 dots or the 6 dots will be on top of it and there is no 6 dots on the top and there is only 1 set that has the 3 dots on the top which is B. Therefore, the answer would be B.
Hi! You got Q4,8,10 and 12 correct. Well done😊 Well done! Would you like to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on any new content? Your support will be highly appreciated!😊
Hi and thanks for the videos, but I think there is a problem with Q11. In question 11 all of the answers are wrong. You say that "A" is correct, but the white triangle "Points" to the black star. In the NET both of the white triangles "Point" to the black square. The only one where this is true is "C", but the black square and black circle are opposite each other so that can not be correct either.
Q2. A because of the numbers of arrows up and down Q4.B because the rest are 4-sided Q6.A ( i Can't really explain ) Q8.A+F because they are rotated 180° Q10.B because of the numbers each pattern are subtracted by one Q12.B because of the middle 3
q.2 a because only has 3 points on arrow q.4 is b because it has 5 sides as others has 4 q.6 is a because the figure has an arrow pointing at a small box in top left corner there is no arrow pointing at the box on a q.8 a and f q.10 b q.12 b
Q2:A because it is the only one with three arrows, the rest have four arrows Q4:B because it has 5 sides whereas the rest have 4 Q6:A because the arrow has to be facing the little square in the corner Q8:A and F because if you turn A upside down it is the same as F Q10:A because the box on the left lessens 1 shape to get to the box in the middle and then rotates on to the other side Q12:B because on the cube net the four dots are next to the three dots and the three dots are on top of the two dots just like the cube in option B shows. Please mark it:)
Q2= A It's because A only has two arrows when the rest has three arrows. Q4= D because all the other ones aren't slanted like D. Q6= A is the answer because all the other shapes have arrows that are going the other way. Q8= A and F is the answer because if you rotate them it'll be the same match. Q10= C is the answer because the bottom section has lines that are going right so if it could match C would be the answer. Q12= B is the answer because two is positioned at the from of the cube so either three or five would be placed at the top so B had three placed at the top and we have to check the side to see if it has a four and if you check now B has four on its side.
for question 2, A because the others have 4 arrows however for A, it has 3 arrows. Therefore, it is A. for question 4, B because the others are quadrilateral but B has 5 sides. So that means, it is B. for question 6, A because one of the arrows are pointing to a little square but A is not. So it is A. for question 8, A and F because the green and yellow squares are touching each other. So it is A and F. for question 10, A because the arrows took away one to make six and was pointing correctly. So it is A. for question 12, B because it is the only one to have no opposite faces next to each other. So it is B. Thank you, this was an amazing video and continue so I can pass in two weeks!!
Thank you for your answers. 100% correct. Well done. Would you like to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on any new content? Your support will be highly appreciated!😊
Your tutorials were really helpful. I was able to answer my interview questions, and now I’ve been called for the next stage of the interview. Thank you Richard
For question 11, the black star should be upside down because it’s above the circle in the net. To make it correct, A’s star should be flipped. I hope this helped anyone who was confused.😊
Q2 a because it has 2 arrow faces Q4 B because it is an irregular. PENTAGON unlike the others which are quadrilaterals. Q6 A because the arrow point is pointing the opposite way. Q10 A because it is following the descending pattern from 7 to 5 and its a because the number between 7 and 5 is 6. Q12 B because the 2,3 and 4 dots border each other in the cube
On Q11, cube A, I have the < arrow actually pointing down on the cube, to the the hidden ■, not the black ☆. Is this a mistake, or is that just the way we have to read it?
Can’t be A because the star is pointing to cube but dot Can’t be B because pointy thing is pointing at cube Can’t be C because dot and cube are not adjacent Can’t be D because pointy thing points away from dot not white star. No answer possible
Q2 - D - All of the others are some variant of the figure S except D. Q4 - C - All of the other ones have 4 sides except C. Q6 - A - An arrow should be pointed at the square, A's arrow is pointing away, Q8 - A & F - They are the only ones with a full grid. Q10 - A - The arrows are descending by 1 each time, therefore if a is 7 and C is 5 then B is 6 Q12 - B - The dot is meant to align with 4 not 6. I doing this for an exam TYSM for these tests
Q2 is A because each shape has 4 arrows but A only has 3 Q4 is B because it is the only shape with 5 sides Q6 is A because every shape is pointing at the little square in the corner but A isn't Q8 is A & F because if you rotate the shapes they are the same Q10 is A because if you see the number of figures in the last row and the middle row there is a pattern so you can just follow it Q12 is B because if you make a square that's where everything will be placed your welcome :)
Q2- A. This is because all the other shapes are on a straight line but A isn't. Q4- B. This is because all the shapes have four sides except for B which doesn't. Q6-A. Shape A has the line without the arrow at the wrong place. Q8- A and F. You need to turn Shape F 180 degrees anticlockwise to be the exact same shape as Shape A. Q,10- A. The pattern is the number of lines and arrows decreases by 1 each time and also the middle shape this time goes to the left. Q,12- B. Because the two dots has to go on the front and either the three dots or the six dots has to be on top so this is your answer. Thanks for making this video this has really helped me with my non-verbal reasoning skills and have a nice day!
Question 11 is wrong. Option-A cannot be because if the circle is on top and the triangle is on the right of the star, the tip of the triangle has to be facing down.
Question 11 actually has no answer, that net cannot be folded into any of those cubes. In A the circle is above the star whereas on the net it is below the star, if you flipped the cube upside down then the star would also be upside down. Also in A the triangle side is pointing at the star but on the net both triangles point toward the black square. In B same issue, the triangle is pointing at the black circle but that doesn't match the net. In C the black circle and square are next to each other which is impossible given the net, they would always be on opposite sides. In D the bottom of one of the white triangles is facing the white star which is also impossible given the net. Only the flat/long side of either of the triangles could ever be next to the white star. If you are learning to match nets to cubes it is important to keep in mind which sides of the net are touching and how the orientation of each side will be effected when folded into a 3d object. On a physical net/cube these things matter. Sorry for the long response I just thought it's confusing that there's no correct answer given.
Q2, the answer is A. It’s the only one with only 3 points on the arrows. Q4, the answer is B. It’s the only shape that is not a quadrilateral. Q6, the answer is A. It’s the only figure that has the bottom of the centre arrow facing the small square inside of it. Q8, the answers are A&F. If u flipped A upside down, you would see the figure F. Q10, the answer is A, because on the third line, the amount of arrows jumps from 7-5. The number in between those two is 6. On the square A, there are 6 arrows. Q12, the answer is B. If you folded the shape, the three dots would be on top.
Q2. A because of the numbers of arrows up and down Q4.B because the rest are 4-sided Q6.A because you have to look sideways or see if the shapes were in the same direction. Q8.A+F because they are rotated 180° Q10.B because of the numbers each pattern are subtracted by one Q12.B because of the middle 3 How did I do?
You guys have really improved since the last 5 years. Keep going you deserve all the subs you have really helped me I watch 3 hrs of your videos everyday, I'm in year 5 and my mum wants high scores
Thank you soooo much your videos are so helpful. Also I'm so lazy so now these videos are like way more helpful then you think so thank you so so much!!!
Q2:D I chose this as all the others had 4 arrows whereas D only had 3. Q4:B this one because it has 5 vertices and all the others have 4 Q6:A This because the starting rotator is starting a clockwise turning point whereas A is going Anti-clockwise Q8:A+F Q10:A
Hi! You got Q4 and 6 correct. Great job😊 Would you like to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on any new content? Your support will be highly appreciated!😊
Q.2- D, all the answers have at least 1 arrow with two heads, however, D doesn't. Q.4- B, all the shapes have four sides, except B. Q.6- A, the arrow in the bottom left corner would be on the right of it was rotated. Q.8- A and F. Q.10- A, the amount of lines/arrows change directions and decrease by 1. Q.12- C.
Answers to other questions 8. A and F because they are rotated from color from one side to the other. 10. A because it goes from the bigger numbers to the smaller numbers. 12. B because the 3 dotted circles would be in the middle and the 6 dotted circles would be on top of it which means the 2 dotted circles must be at the front.
Omg samee gurl (or boy?) I'm so dumb but my dad would love it if I passed the 11+ so I could go to a grammar school he would be really proud. SO I'm doing these videos to help me out. Weirdly, I was a genius when I was 8 but I've lost all my intelligence-
Q2. is A I think this is because A has 3 arrows whereas all the others have 4 arrows Q4. is B I think this because B has 5 sides whereas the others have 4 Q6. is A I think this because one of the arrows are not pointing to the little square in the corner Q8. Is A and F I think this because when they are the same way around the same Q10. is A, I think this because the arrows have to go in a different direction like the other 2 and it goes down from 7,6,5 so the missing is 6 arrows. Q12. is B I think this because the 4 dots are next to the 3 and is next to 2. I also love how you explain the methods you are really helping with my preparation for the 11+.
Your answers are correct! Excellent work😊 Well done! Would you like to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on any new content? Your support will be highly appreciated!😊
Q2 is a because there is 3 triangles whereas the other examples has 4 triangles. Q4 is B because the other shapes are a quadrilateral but B is not quadrilateral. Q6 is A because the tiny square and tiny rectangles moved 180 degrees but the small triangles didn’t. Q8 is A and F because if you turn A upside down it looks exactly like F. Q10 is A because when you move 1 square to the right you have to take away 1 small figure, and on the last three squares you have to do 7-1=6, and A has 6 figures. Q12 is B because on the net the figures that are on B are all touching.
A because it's the only one that in the inside it connects to make 2 triangles B because all the other shapes have 4 sides A A and F A because the pattern shows that the arrows point opposite directions each time and the number of arrows decreases by 1 B

Q6- C because on the question figure the pointy bit of the arrow left bottom and on C the pointy bit of the arrow is facing right Q8- A and F are rotations of each other
Thank you for your answers. All correct apart from Q10 and 12. Would you like to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on any new content? Your support will be highly appreciated!😊
