I'm eleven years old, and I completly support gay marraige. My moms a judge and when gay marraige was legalized in Wisconsin I went with her when she married people together and I started to cry cause one couple was about seventy years old and they could finally get married after forty years.
2:00: Well I look at girls and find them attractive sometimes and I'm straight! In fact, I just found her girlfriend to be attractive lol. Sexuality is a scale, not a category.
+Emily Rose I'm straight, but I find some girls to be attractive. But it's not like I'm in love with them or anything. I can find someone good-looking and not want to marry them.
Did you guys know that a drop of semen has more nutrients than blood and because of that I always wondered "why don't vampires just suck dick then?... Oh yeah... They made Twilight"
balloon girl I'm 12 and I don't know if I'm bi or les and also how do you know whether you are les or bi I have had a boyfriend before but I want to be with a girl.........
Eevee Eeveelution - Well if you get a girlfriend and like it more than you did with you're ex boyfriend then you're probably a lesbian but if you liked it around as much as you liked it with your bf then you're probably Bi / Pan if you didn't like either that much then you're probably a romantic
Here's the thing about the whole "The Bible says it so it must be true" thing. The Bible - whether you want to believe it or not - was written by a series of men. Men who claim you go to heaven for wearing clothing of mixed threads. Men who claim women should be stoned to death if they have multiple sexual partners, or have sex before being married to someone. Now, another common thing I hear about this argument is that "Those things were written in the old testament so it no longer applies" BUT GUESS WHAT LEVITICUS 20:13 AS EVERYONE LIKES TO POINT OUT IS ALSO IN THE OLD TESTAMENT. Would anyone like to argue with me over this? Because I guarantee that I'll win.
Well that argument will hold up with most Christians the better thing to use in the situation is 'what evidence do you have that the bible is the word of God? The bible says so. So if I was to write , this example is pie, then that would not make it pie" no one has ever been able to retort that point.
***** Actually modern science has found a way to take both same-sex parent's DNA to make a fertile embryo and then of course, that embryo can be injected into one of the mothers or a surrogate mother for 2 males.
I'm a straight man, though kind of comical. My advice is find the love of your lifetime, doesn't matter, gay, lesbian, transgender or straight. It's very painful to be separated from mainstream society because you're different. Though I'm straight, I grew up being two skin tones darker than my classmates, plus being half deaf. When we're different, mainstream society can be a real pain. Doesn't matter the gender, what matters is when two souls find each other who belong together. I'm Christian and think the Bible was altered by "The Church" over 1000 years ago. Love is what's important, not sexual orientation.
I accept you as another human and potential friend; sexual preference makes no difference. If someone is comfortable baring their true being to me, now that is a true friend I'll cherish for a lifetime. Honesty and trust are most important to me when it comes to a true friend; sexual pref. come second.
+jeff Craven Thank you, Jeff. You have a beautiful way of approaching life and love. I hope you have found a partner who adores you and treats you well. I am a very lucky lesbian/human/woman to have found my soulmate 16 years ago and we are living happily ever after. I hope your friends cherish the man you are. Reading your post made my day!
I agree 110% with the fact that kids don't need to be 'protected' from gays. The way Cameron worded it was fantastic. Some kids have gay parents, some kids are gay and they don't know what they're feeling. One of my most annoying moments related to this was, me and mom were watching tv and my 8 year old sister was kinda watching, so this guy starts talking about when he came out and my mom starts frantically looking for the remote to change the channel so my sister didn't see because she doesn't know what that means yet. I was certainly in no place to say anything, but my view is that you should teach your children what being gay is and that its okay, that it's not weird. You don't have to tell your kids about bad things related to gays, but teach them about all the good people. So anyway, I know this was long, but this is what I have to say
i mean my parents tried to shelter me from gays and drilled it into me that it was a sin. so much so that i didn't actually realise what it meant until i realised i had a crush on a girl (i am a complete lesbian lmao). funny how these things work.
Being able to see someone is attractive but not be attracted to them. Great point. Seems pretty obvious once you think about it. Also, vests are awesome.
Maddison you mad as a hatter son take your medicine Man your in worse shape then the national debt is in Sittin there useless as two shits turn around bend over I'll show you where my shoe fits BAM I'm sorry I just got exited when I saw people talking about Hamilton.
Avery Hentzel Probably the only lesbian who doesn't like Ellen then haha. She's ok but I certainly don't find her too funny or attractive.. maybe because I'm not an American?
I love her oh my god. Also, her sister {I think} looked like a guy...she was so hot. I don't know about anyone else but when a woman dresses like a tomboy I find that so attractive.
I'm just going to leave a comment here saying that I've watched this video months ago and comes back here again to see that she have voiced a character named "Ranger Tabes" in one of my favorite cartoons called "We Bare Bears" for my own personal reasons. I appreciate this video in both ways.
I love this girl. And the whole, "do you find some men attractive?" No shit! I'm a girl, I like men, and you know, I can see how hot some women are. Big whoop.
You'll probably find fewer men who will admit to finding another man attractive, but if they were honest, I think everyone could think of someone they find attractive who isn't their chosen sex for having sex with. I'm not gay, but there are plenty of guys who I would absolutely say are quite attractive. If that weren't the case, the entertainment industry would be much different, and museums would have to have his and her wings depending on the sex of the person depicted.
I'm a straight guy, but I think a lot of men are attractive. Doesn't mean I want to have sex with them. Ryan Gosling for instance, I'm not sexually attracted to him, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't stare a little bit when he takes his shirt off.
I LOVE this! I am not a lesbian, but Cameron seems so amazingly sarcastic and I love it! "Ellen is our president and Jodie Foster is our vice president and Tegan and Sarah and Ellen Page, they're the cabinet...and I'm the secretary of state" lol I basically died :P
I wish she would have answered these questions seriously. Even if they are ridiculous or obvious, maybe it's kids asking or someone who just really wants to know.
I am an asexual, homoromantic, transman, and I must say I really hate the question about the gay community being flamboyant, because the straight community is also flamboyant in their own ways.
I am super straight. I have liked boys since before I can remember. I love this woman. She has so much pride in who she is. People of my faith generally condemn people who are homosexual, but I think that people are people, no matter who they love and they needed to be treated as such. Honestly, (and I know I'm going to get hate for this) i don't agree with Cameron's life choices. but she is a beautiful woman who stands up for who she is and I have a huge amount of respect for her.
HIPgirl95 I respect your faith, and I'm glad that you are willing to engage in civilized discourse, but I don't believe it is moral to disapprove of someone's life choices if said choices harm no one and help some.
I just so love Carmen's reply to the "Do you find Ellen attractive?" question. So funny. I think a way to help improve things for homosexual people is earlier education, so many children only get their family and friend's personal opinions and by the time they are getting educated they have an ingrained opinion.
Why are there a lot of people who are so obsessed with the bible and god's rules? I'm catholic and I support Gay marriage and Gay people all the way, don't care for hell. If only you guys/girls truly knew what happens to gay people around the world. *Story Time!* In a country (sorry for my poor memory I think it's like asia or something) Lesbians are allowed to be raped by men In the attempt of turning them straight. Gay kids are allowed to be bullied and won't be helped. One woman was interviewed and told a story, she was stalked for a while and one day raped outside her home. She called the cops and they merely laughed at her and hung up the phone. Only because she was a lesbian, If she was straight then the cops would of done something. There are many Woman raped for being Lesbians in these countries, And a lot have shared their story. There was also two parents interviewed talking about their Gay son. He was bullied his whole life and one day kidnapped, raped, tortured and killed only for being gay. Some gay people resort to changing into straight, why? Why should they have to change their ways which they can't help only because a lot of us straight people can't accept them?
Good comment, some things to add: The corrective rape therapy is used in many countries, mostly highly religious and poorly educated ones(since you can tell them 'God wants it' and they don't know better than to believe that without thinking about it, unlike in countries with higher education. Just remember when the pope told the people to stop using condoms since they cause aids...) "Some gay people resort to changing into straight" No, they don't. You can't change your sexuality, they are just hiding and denying themselves. But I think that is what you meant
ValerieRaya I watched a documentary about it, They don't just turn straight by liking their opposite gender instantly, they see a person whose job is specially to change Gay's to Straight.
Dylan Morrison "they see a person whose job is specially to change Gay's to Straight." Yes, and those people are horrible. They tell people to hide their true self and despise themselves. That is horribly unhealthy to everyone involved, it just leads to self-destruction. I mean, I can't even think of one good, reasonable reason why you would tell someone to hate themselves so immensely. Or at all. Especially when kids are involved, this camps are even more horrible and outright child abuse(a thing they often practice there as well). A friend of mine killed himself over going there.
I used to think that vest and flannel won't fit well together. I thought it would be awkward. But after seeing a couple of her videos, I think I might wear my vest more often. I really really love my vest. 😍😍
Cameron Esposito avoids the IMPORTANT questions about lesbianism. Like, if two centaur cis-women are lesbians, how do they have sex? THIS IS IMPORTANT.
Nah, female Matt Smith is Sue Perkins, another lesbian. Maybe Matt Smith just expresses similar characteristics to many lesbians... Or maybe he secretly is one :o
I'm a christian and my church found out I believe in gay marriage and flipped out and talked to me about how it's a "sin". And this is what I told them. I told them that if it is a sin then why is it such a big deal. Lying is a sin and most people do it everyday at least once. Since when did one sin become worse than another? I do not find it a sin. I don't think gays are going to to hell. My sister is bi so is she going to hell because of the way God made her? It is not a choice and I know this because I bet no one would choose to be gay if they knew the things they would be called and how they would be treated. The bible also talks about how a man shall not sleep in the same bed with a woman on her period but people do that too. Why is that not a big deal?
Hilarious thing? My best friend is a gay man. I'm a sapio-romantic demi-sexual in a same-sex relationship (damn that's a long definition). He and I are SO OFTEN confused as being a couple that we just go along with it now, rather than correcting people. Hey, freebies are great! But this video? HILARIOUS, and unfortunately in many regards very accurate (ie: 'protect the kids' part). THANK YOU for doing this.
***** sapioromantic means emotionally/romantically I'm attracted to intelligence. Demisexual means I am not physically attracted to people in not already close to.
I thought the argument that would've pissed her off was the fact the fundamentals of a species is to procreate... I guess they didn't ask it because she can't argue that one.
***** So your saying gay's and lesbians are around just as a way of slowing down population? Maybe then it's an evolutionary way of the world correcting the balance. This and much more with melz...
Actually, she could. That argument is bullshit. There are straight couples who do not want kids or are infertile, not to mention many same-sex couples choose to have biological children via insemination/surrogacy/etc...
People are still missing the point of what she said about 'women who dress like men'. Her point is that there is no such thing as men's clothing/ dressing like a man - it's all down to what the society you happen to currently live in dictates is 'masculine'. Go back only a few decades and simply wearing trousers was seen as dressing like a man. Go back a few centuries and women were riding side saddle because they couldn't possibly straddle a horse - too manly! Go back a bit further and being a clean shaven adult man was a almost unheard of because facial hair was a sign of masculinity. High heels? Originally MEN'S riding boots, now seen as decidedly 'feminine' clothing. Go to Scotland and say kilts are 'women's clothes' because they happen to be one tube of fabric rather than two. Go to the Middle East and you will see a lot of men wearing what is essentially a 'women's dress' in our culture. Try telling a Sikh that his long hair is 'feminine'. What makes you 'look like a man' or 'look like a woman' is subtle differences in bone structure, and your genitalia, the rest is just how you choose to present yourself to the world and what makes you feel comfortable.
+Vicky Yellowstone and when people think Bisexuality is one day you're straight and the next you're gay? It drives me insane. I'm not Bi but a lot of my friends are.
Lorelei Haywood I know right! or that you're bisexual because you aren't out of the closet completely. NO! Bisexuality is just as valid as homosexuality or any other sexuality out there. And to hear this from a lesbian is really disappointing.Bisexuals fight for the same rights gay people do.
I remember once I saw a really cute guy checking me out. Then I noticed that a bra was visible through his shirt..so yeah.."he" was a lesbian and it was awkward xD
“I can find men attractive without being wanting to sleep with them or marry them.” THANK YOU!!!!! That’s been something that I’ve been telling people for forever. One way to describe it is how you can find someone to be beautiful like how you platonically admire a sunset or a flower
