See now, the things that people apparently didn't like were all things I loved! Vince winning, both Bret and Lex winning and 15 people in the ring at once... I loved all of that. - Vince cos it was perfect for the story, and everything that followed played out fantastically. - Bret and Lex was great for the finish as both were Faces, but it led to one of the best WrestleMania's. - And I alway prefer more people in the ring at once, than just a few. You can watch 3-4 people in the ring at once anytime, but this is what I watch the Rumble for - to watch the chaos!

My Favorite Part Of the 2009 Royal Rumble Match was RVD going after Kane that's was awesome Kane and RVD Were an awesome tag team and even better opponents in my Honest opinion.

Finlay getting disqualified in 2008 made absolutely no sense whatsoever because there’s no disqualifications in a Royal Rumble match.

In 1995 Bruiser Mastino entered the royal rumble under a truly embarrassing gimmick, lasted 9 minutes, eliminated Bryan Clark's Adam Bomb, and then was eliminated by Lex Luger. Also the only time someone failed to win the Royal Rumble via pinfall happened when Macho Man dropped a top rope elbow onto Yokozuna, then went for the pin.

Finley wasn't disqualified for using a weapon. He was disqualified for entering the ring too early since he was supposed to be the next wrestler to enter.

Another time there was a promo in the middle of the match was in 2005, when Daniel Puder got on the mic and promised he would be the first Tough Enough champion to win the Royal Rumble ... right before getting that infamous hazing that everyone remembers instead.

The DQ on a Royal Rumble like in 2008 was pure bullcrap. I mean, normally the Rumble match itself has always been No DQ to determine a decisive winner. Plus, like 2001, there was also a Rumble match with weapons for a small brief moment earlier in that match in 1998 (Foley and Funk).

I would love to see someone address what happened in the 1992 Royal Rumble when Macho Man (RIP) eliminated himself going after Jake Roberts only to be thrown back in by a young Undertaker x2. He was officially let back in.

It's weird when Finlay got disqualified when he ran to the ring before the buzzer. WWE should've disqualified Al Snow when he ran and attacked Raven in the 2001 Royal Rumble match.

They should've not made the Mickie James announcement last year. The 40 man rumble should've never been considered Del Rio.

Too Cool was awesome. Especially when they were tagging with Rakishi. As for the two man win, I think the right answer was to make it a 3 way for the title main event at Wrestlemania.

I'd love to see the champion on commentary during the rumble. It'll give it some interest. But knowing WWE, they'd probably do some screwy interface finish.

There are other once in a lifetime events, including: 1) The Heavyweight Champion winning the Royal Rumble (Hulk Hogan in 1990.) 2) A tag team starting the Royal Rumble match (1989 with Ax entering #1 and Smash entering #2) 3) The Heavyweight Champion defending the title IN the Royal Rumber match (2016 when Roman Reigns entered the Royal at #1 and he was the Champion. The title was on the line in the match - the winner of the match became the Champion. In this case, Triple H won the Rumble and thus became Champion. This is unique because in 1992, the title was vacant.)

Reading the comment there have been quite a few more "once in a lifetime" Rumble moments, but it absolutely baffles me how neither the 40 men rumble (despite explicitly being mentioned), the three faces of Foley, nor the three commentator rumble (even "commentator eliminated by female athlete") made it.

I would have loved to see Mankind win the 1999 Royal Rumble somehow, even as an alternate persona. Vince winning was just too stupid and a waste of the rumble, regardless of his storyline with Steve Austin.

I dont think the problem with 40 man rumble was the 40 contesters, it was just that they needed to clear the ring more often, I prefer 40 over 30 because I just want the match to be longer and have more surprises 😅 It is my favorite event

Weapons were also used in 1998 and contestants had jumped the gun before like Rick Rude in 1990 and Al Snow in 2001 so Finlay's DQ made no sense no matter what excuse they gave .
