Hey! Love the videos! As someone new to bear tank do you use any macro's, weak aura's or add ons that help you track ironfur stacks for instance or any other important procs? The rotation for bear seems pretty straightfoward, mangle and thrash off CD. Lunar off CD and then spend rage on ironfur or healz and mix in defensives for different pulls. Apprecaite any advice you can give to someone that wants to push KSM and above on bear tank this season. Thanks!
I don't use any macros for Ironfur and I don't track my stacks although doing so wouldn't be a bad idea :D You got the basic rotation down and if you use your defensives well enough that should be good to get KSM :) Some general tips would be: -Try to have a defensive on pull whether that be Barkskin, Rage of the Sleeper, Incarn, and you can even SI as a last resort if you need. Also try to defensive big boss tank busters like Obsidian Beam from first boss Dawnbreaker -You can pool some rage when a pack is ending to enter a pull with 1-2 stacks of Ironfur ready which can smooth out the damage intake. -Don't be afraid to test different talent build. Bear has a lot of variety so try new things and see what works best for you -If you need to kite you have typoon into Ursol's and run That's all I can think of off the top of my head gl!
I do not stream and I can add a stat showcase to my UI if I remember :D though my stats right now are not where I want them to be as I've just been equipting the highest ilvl piece I can.
I think I'm just used to it at this point. If I play for long enough my finger does start to get a little sore but it's much better now then what it used to be. I know some people bind Ironfur to scroll wheel if you want to try that :)
It's the only point I feel comfortable dropping for 2 SI and the reason I went double SI was more so for the mental aspect. I feel a lot safer knowing I have 2 60% DR if I need
There's no real secret to it. It's just about maintaining Ironfur and using defensives at the right time. If you are constantly dying throughout a pack you should rotate your cooldowns so you spend as much time in a defensive as possible. For big magic tank busters just make sure you have a defensive for everyone whether that be Barkskin, Rage of the Sleeper, Survival Instincts, Incarn, Lunar Beam. You could try running Tooth and Claw as well. Also I'm sure the healer in this key is healing me a lot which makes my life easier.
You want to dispel the tank right before the beams go off, so he takes 50% less dmg from the beam AND the tank buster. Alternatively you can just dispel him after the beams, so it's easier to time. The tank buster is the big hit here that needs to be dampened by the 50% dmg reduction buff.
