Its just as much of an art gallery as it is an arcade! What a legendary collection of arcade games and decor. I’m beyond impressed; and jealous ;-) You’ve inspired me to improve upon my retrocade. Thanks for sharing!!!
I discovered a Neo-Geo in the wild for the first time in '90-91 and was blown away by Magician Lord. So that is probably my favorite game, but I also like Super Spy & Nam 1975 from that same group of original releases. Later games, definitely the Metal Slug and original Samurai Shodown.
@@SlikkNikk amazing bro, that pong looked so fun, good peeps! My fav cab is your mame one with the lcd marquee that changes to the game shown/played! I would love to come to your next party but wifey dont understand 🤣 you are not a fan of pinballs or bubble hockey or shooting cabs? Im guessing your either a Doctor or Buinessman, congrats again!
We don't have basements in Florida either, and I'm jealous of the people that can and do have them. Like you said, it really expands the livable footprint of the house.
I'm living in Utah, and I had an Earthquake the day after St. Patrick's Day of this year as well as all the many aftershocks. This house was built by contractors who were from California and they built it with a basement that spans about the entire footprint of the house except for the 2-Car garage and the full sized porch. Even this far out, we're still having aftershocks and such. With all that out of the way, I am going to say, that you have a very nice Arcade and I hope that you will keep going strong and well.
Sickest collection I’ve ever seen! Love those old school Nintendo cabs. Nothing like the artwork and look. Especially love the Popeye. Only thing you need is some 90s machines. Like NBA Jam, Turtles in Time, X-Men. My 2 personal favs when I was younger were Arch Rivals and Double Dragon. Would love to have a few of these machines, but they’re so expensive every place I look online. 😕
Just the sounds of the machines in the background brings back memories of my teens, going to the seaside arcades and being there with all the various machines making noise in the background....nice
Who in the hell gave a negative. That’s a great arcade space, only comes second to your familia. What can I say, I’m officially jealous, plus your in Califas.
Awesome game room! Great mix of very clean games. Thanks for sharing. Would love to see more on Carnival and the custom mame machine, that dynamic marquee is sweet.
Oh my God now that I'm seeing the games you got what a magnificent collection Robotron are my eyes deceiving me or do you have a dedicated Crystal Castles OMG so jelly I'm a sucker for the Chrome T mold trim and neon green and normal green for some reason! my first isometric love was Crystal Castles followed by Qbert on the 2600🕹👌
Yep, my 2 car garage became my arcade, back in the day. Sadly, where I live now, we still don't have basements. It's ok though, the BIG external garage with an upstairs area is more than enough for my needs!👍
I've got a few cabinets myself. This video is just pure inspiration. Great collection and amazing work on the restorations. It's nice to see the golden age of arcade gaming preserved like this. Playing Double Dragon in a 7-11 is one of my earliest arcade game memories. I'm fortunate enough to live in a city that has a very large arcade (2 floors) as well as having a few cabinets myself. And plenty of independent take-out restaurants have them. The only reason I never got myself a Metal Slug cab is because I can play it while I wait for my pizza to cook.
Nice set up. I really like the way you have your tapper set up. Gonna try to pick up some cabs after I get my basement rewired. PAC-Man, DK, Punch Out and Tron are on my short list to grab.
You have great taste in games man. Hang On is one of my all time favorites. I prefer it over super hang on. Love paper boy too. Both have amazing music. Very nice setup.
Great channel you have here, you deserve more subscribers. I'm getting ready to jump into the hobby myself; I've had a multicade since 2012 but I haven't had the space nor money to collect more. However, I recently got a job, and I'm also getting my own place next year, so I'm going to slowly start building my collecting in anticipation for that.
If I had an office that look like that I would love going to work everyday😊👌🎮🕹 work that's funny like any of that would be getting done LOL maybe if you shoot another video you can pull out your machines take nice still photos of the sides and the Art on them so that you can maybe edit them in to your next video I'm amazed what a beautiful collection and then when you show us the side art you can put up some facts about the year was released and whatever other fun facts about the game you can find I love these videos every time I see these videos and I see these awesome pieces of History I wonder who currently is the world record holder for the highest score on all of them
@@SlikkNikk Probably your Nintendo Playchoice, specifically for Super Mario Bros. My nostalgia for that game is off the charts. Then you Donkey Kong Jr cabinet. I love that game too and I really like the design for that cabinet.
M Wu I’m in Southern California. I have a friend in Vancouver that has opened the first public arcade in the city. You should check it out once this virus settles down.
I like your selection. We have the same taste in games. Congo Bongo and Robotron belong in every home arcade. I watch a lot of these home arcade videos and Popeye, Carnival and Donkey Kong 3 are not too common, but both are great games. Kick-Man, Star Trek and Front Line are a couple more I used to love.
Mufnstuf Thanks for the comment. I pulled Congo out recently and replaced it with Wacko. Also pulled Thief and added Black Widow. Will do an update video later this month. Thanks for watching.
Did you have to have a separate breaker/breakers/circuit to handle all of these at the same time? I'm about to have my garage enclosed and need to add plug ins and I assume a few circuits to handle these arcade games
Yes, now is the time to think about it. As my room was already built, I had to get creative to get enough juice in there. I rewired one section of the room to the circuits with the pool equipment on the outside of the arcade through exterior wall. With the combo of what was existing and the 2nd circuit added, everything runs reliably. Been tested over 10+ hours during parties etc.
Awesome collection, thanks for the walk through. One question: I own a DK and th bezel has some scuffs and scratches. It's all original so I would like to not use repro and polish it out if possible. Do you have any recommendations, is there a way to remove scuffs from a bezel?
Hello Christoph. I'll link the product you need below. Novus works wonders on plastic scratches. In addition, if you can buy a headlight restoration kit and use the polishing device in a drill, you'll achieve the best results. Good luck and let me know how it goes - www.amazon.com/Novus-7100-Plastic-Polish-Kit/dp/B002UCYRZU/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=novus&qid=1594996302&sr=8-1
My coin ops app in my original Xbox won’t launch anymore when I click on it it just shows black screen do you have any advice And I bought the Xbox already modded so I have no idea what I’m doing lol
NikkiN - Future Bass Technology. As a former DJ and lifelong music lover, one of my favorite things about making these videos has been the music selection! Check out some of my other vids for some really good integrated soundtracks.
That's a sweet looking arcade you have. Love the space. For your Pole Position, are you going to consider looking into the FPGA board that Adam from OneCircuit is working on and will hopefully be released soon? (Atari and Namco versions of Pole Position/Pole Position II)
Bombdiggity Arcade! Yes - I have a variety of large Bluetooth enabled speakers for music. Can also pull out the NS7 or the 1200s if needed....you know how I roll lol.
Curious to learn more about your score keeping from Iscored. What type of set up are you using? Touch screen monitor, computer etc.... ? looking to add something but didn’t know what type of hardware to go with.
I use my iPad to enter scores on iScored then display the site on my internet capable TV. Check out my “SlikkNikk Jr’s Arcade Tournament” video to see the setup in action.
SlikkNikk just watched your other video. Exactly what I’m looking for! So how does it stream? fire stick, or do have to open a bowser and post the url?
SlikkNikk Thx ! This seems like a no brainer for $20. I will definitely have to get this. So were you able to create an additional event or tourney for the party so you didn’t have to override your ongoing home Arcade scores? And if so do they save and any limit on how many you can have in your iscored profile?
Bro this is very cool🔥 but I was looking to start an arcade collection too and a game room. I’ve seen arcade1up but the originals are way better. How did you find these or get started?
I bought my first game almost 19 years ago and just added one at a time. I fixed and restored many along the way and learned a lot. I've made friends with other collectors. We occasionally buy, sell and trade with each other. Some came from Craiglist, a few from eBay, some from Facebook arcade collectors groups. I've never been afraid to have games shipped to me.....not cheap but it unlocks the whole country for you as far as finding games. But yeah, pick a game you really want and start the hunt. What game do you want? Let me know if I can help.
