Thanks, Joey, good info my man! I got the 125cc on a go kart for my grandkids and within 4 hours their fathers broke the spark plug off in the cylinder. Timing this was my main goal and you answered it great!

Well, I hope these fuckers are payin ya well for the amount of demands they’ve got for you now. I guess that’s the RU-vids way of sAyin you’re a legit bad ass bike mechanic. I’ve searched several videos on the fly wheel timing cause I knew those marks meant something except I didn’t have a correct one to go off of and I don’t speak Chinese though I like to get get chineses eyed. Any who, once your done making all the video requests and giving advice and idk cutting their lawns or whatever cause they obviously respect your work. (Show some love Pay em so paper people!! Cough cough). Oh yeah once your done I got first few rounds for ya. after that I can’t make any promises.. but If there’s alien like crop circles in your front lawn the next day. I’ll tell you what I tell everyone else that makes those claims .. it might be some sorta flywheel marking to indicate proper timing between the piston and the spark plug!! cause if the timings off everything’s off. and the universe depends on the correct timing for everything to work in perfect harmony!!

the top of piston can be set by the timing mark in the casing slut and aligned with the magneto rotor mark T.
@e.l.8824
@e.l.8824 3 года назад
Thank you very much !! Best tutorial. After doing the alignment of timing, check for proper compression with tumb on the spark-plug-whole, while turning the flywheel (best with starter-motor, second person) If not so, loose camshaft sprocket and turn exaxtly 360 degree towards the camshaft, and reassemble the sprocket with the 3 bolts. Test again. Pay attention to the chain-tensioner. If not proper working, spillover of chain occors and motor will not start any more - drives you crayzy: Spark ok, Gas delivery ok, motor will not start.....
@e.l.8824
@e.l.8824 3 года назад
"towards the camshaft" means hold the camshaft in place and turn the sprocket 360 degree, reasseble the bolts.

Well done video. My Chinese engine (Tao) had a mark and letters on the timing gear, but they were together and not opposite each other. A good thing to know is the valves will be closed at top dead center (TDC), so that's how I knew whether they should point toward the notch on the front of the head, or the two prongs on the back of the head. For mine, the dot and letters pointed towards the valve side where there was a small "V" notch in the head.

I noticed the gasket you're using between the cylinder and the valve head is that rigid composite gasket, rather than the flexible cardboard gasket. I was wondering if you've ever had any problems/issues with that setup? I have an extra rigid gasket and to me it seems like a better choice over the cardboard, but I'm not an expert or anything. Perhaps it doesn't seal quite as well? Edit: It's possible that on my engine, someone mistakenly used the cardboard gasket for the valve head (combustion chamber area). I just noticed on another video that the darker rigid gasket was used, just like in your video.

Thanks bro for sharing, I've just bought my 1st ATV yesterday with the same 110 engine, not working ofc:) I'm a car mechanic and wanted to do the bike this time. Just one question - what about the piston rings when you installing the lower head? Because in a car when you're putting the piston into cylinder you have to use a tool to keep the rings tight on piston head

Awesome video. I'm struggling with getting the right parts for my atv. It's got stamping of 124 on the jug. But measurements of the head gasket are 53mm diameter indicating 110cc. Also the original problem is that it leaks oil between head and jug. The seal that sat in recessed part next to chain was blown But is there another ring around the one stud? Thanks!

Not sure if this will reach you, but I’m trying to figure out how to adjust where the piston head is in relation to the mark on my fly wheel. When I line up the mark on my flywheel to the one in my case, the piston head is all the way at the bottom of the cylinder. The original flywheel that came with the bike I bought was completely rusted because there was a crack in the cover which caused water to sit inside and rust it to pieces. Is there a way for me to adjust where the piston head is without adjusting the position of the flywheel?

Not going to lie that timing looked one tooth off it's so much easier to just pull the chain through put the cog in use your finger to run the chain around the cog and adjust your timing that way so much quicker & doesn't matter if it's out or not as easy enough to change that way not mocking your video good explanation on timing ECT just some advice from a professional mechanic may help you or anyone watching keep your videos coming top guy on explaining what's what within a engine

I have a problem with 1 of the 4 long cylinder bolts , without having removed the upper and lower cylinder, I think it is slightly stripped where the rod goes into the casing. After tightening the nut, it only takes a little torque to cause it to turn around and become loose again. This is causing oil to seep out of the top of the cylinder, around the rod and loose nut. I tried using Heavy Duty, Oil resistant Marine JB Weld seemed to work for a little but then eventually cracked. Any ideas? Or do I need to replace the casing or can these things be re threaded? You have to be much more specific. Have you put piston rings on before? If not ....that could be your problem right there......That is an art, and there is a very prescribed way of doing it. (i know I both F-d it up and got it right) If you followed what Joey did to a tee, then you shouldn't have had a problem. Recheck your job, torque settings, did your motor have a gasket? ...
