Slow at getting to your video, but got to it and watched all the way through and gave a comment and thumbs up. Keep up the wonderful experiments. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful as always! I'm going to try this. I buy mica powders from ColourArte. The white looking powders are called 'interference' micas. Basically, what they do is give any other color a kind of pearlescent sheen. Mainly used in conjunction with a base color. ETA: I went and bought those micas after the video you did of the opal looking pendants. I tried it last night, and although they aren't as gorgeous as yours, they're quite interesting!
So cool. I'd actually suggested something like this to an Australian artist I watch. Love galaxy looking anything & the darker ones definitely show up best. Looking forward to trying these, Thank you 😊
Brilliant idea, Daniel! 😊👍 I think I'm going to try this! You know, maybe some opalized, pearlized, holographic, or chrome nail powders would also work? Hmmmm...! 😁 WOW, look at the color separation *and* loads of amazing sparkle in those, Dan! FABULOUS Petri effects in these gorgeous cabochons! GREAT experiment! 😊👍❤
I MUST make some glittery alcohol ink! You've given me so many ideas and I just don't have the time or energy to try them all, but one day... ONE DAY I will! Also, I like the subtle difference that pouring more resin on top created. It's not a dynamic effect, but it's enough to add complexity to the piece.
Is there a difference between the sinker white and regular alcohol ink? Is there a way to make your own sinker colors? All of your projects are so cool and they have given me a ton of ideas I just can't afford to buy everything, but if I can make it, that might make things a little cheaper.
Good for you! I have lots of mirofine glitters, and I was sure they could be used like this. The tiny funnels don't really work well for them, as the funnel clogs too easily. You did beautifully.💕
Wicked trick/tip.. I like the rainbow ink but I swear blind same company make a liquid diamonds alcohol ink and it looks exactly the same I don't see much different at all once it's in resin .. and I love it it's perfect for mini galaxy/nebula/solar system style jewelry resin art 😉🫶👌🫵👊💪👌
Hey Daniel can you please point me in the right direction. I like to invest on the back plates with the correct size that's compatible with the cavitys on the mold tray the ovals and the large round. I have the small round back plates. I just started resin art 2 months ago because I stumbled on ur videos and was mesmerized by your beautiful creations. I mainly work with yarn . But was searching for a new hobby. I must seriously thank you . The way you explain ur videos after a few trys I was able to make beautiful Galaxys. So please if you can reply with links of the back plates I highly appreciate your time and watching future videos of your work. God Bless ❤️
Hi, Daniel l Love your work ! Have You tried this ? I wish l knew where to find these dichro ish film in Europe or Aliexpress ? Do You know where can l find IT ? Greetins from Romania !
@@daniel..cooper I used my alcohol inks let it set drop the ink in it spread all over put the white ink in waited hour stirred up some fell to bottom why, my other batch I made I use pigment paste in little cups one drop with resin in pigment ink, alcohol, ink, white one drop stirred made the little lines the white dropped to the bottom. The colored mines stayed on top some of them is it because my house is not warm should I buy a heating mat and use that because I think that is my problem live up in Northern California and it’s like 53° during the day right now, please let me know. I am wasting a lot of resin here. Do you put your black alcohol link on the back right away after you stir it up when I see you drop your alcohol inks in they stay small why is that?
@lucybukoske134 adding heat will lower the viscosity of the resin which will cause more blobbing. I would suggest trying a test and wait 40 minutes after pouring the resin into your mold before adding anything, see if that help slow down and sinking. As for the black, yes, after my stir 😊😊
