It seems that the common theme is synergizing the team members. It's amazing how small chances can combine together to really improve metrics on how efficiently you can run an operation. It is also always inspiring to see a team come together to adopt and implement new ideas.

I think it is great that the employee is one of the top considerations in making improvements. No one will lose a job and everyone participates in generating ideas for improvements. Very motivating

It is amazing how making the smallest changes such as creating shipping lanes provided so much clarity, efficiency, and visibility to streamline the movement of goods in the warehouse.

Very impressive how the same 'system' can work for a small company the way it has for Toyota. I also liked how genuine and happy all of the employee's were. Ace appears to truly care about their staff.

This is an excellent example of the company recognizing a need for improvement and involving the staff to assist in the process! This boosts morale and gives the employees a sense of pride. TAT went from 8 weeks to 5 weeks and continuously improving. This company made change the culture and further emphasized how lean saves livelihood!

Adding processes that makes the job more efficient not only increase productivity it make the front line employees life easier and that's always appreciated.

I really thought they hit the nail on the head when they described business process improvement as a continuous process and not just a singular event. Sometimes, it's easy to disregard the fact that improvement does take time and continuous effort. This is a great takeaway!

What I was most impressed and surprised by was what the Toyota training did from an employee morale perspective. The employees seem truly happy to work there. It goes back to what we discussed in class - that Lean is both business-centric and human-centric.

Great story and testament to what can be accomplished when management looks to engage its employees as “the problem solvers”. Optimizing the process and people’s engagement at the same time is a win-win.

I think this was a great story! I love the t-shirt slogan "Grow individually, win as a team!" The apprehension that they felt was eased by working together and everyone's input listened to in order solve a problem. There is no greater success.

The fact that an employee would say “I love what I do, and I get butterflies when I drive into the parking lot” is a very powerful statement. It is impressive what can be accomplished when an environment of trust is established.

You can clearly see how awesome it was for all the staff to participate in the improvement process once the fear fell away and they focused on process and improvement. Very powerful!

A great way to involve all of the employees and get their buy in. The best part is the reassurance at the beginning that no one is going to lose their job.
