He takes a look at the results of the hospital's partnership with Toyota, quite literally through the failing eyes of Liseth, a diabetic patient hoping for a positive outcome.

I am a living witnesses of how this process was implemented at the hospital and how it decreases the time of waiting for surgery. My mom was in this same predicament, but by the time she was losing her eye sight the County has partnered up with UIC where she was able to get seen, diagnosised and a care plan was created and executed in little as a month. I personally would like to thank Toyota for this. I can truly appreciate this.

i love the toyota manufacturing management system i have been learning a lot from them in school with the 5s to the lean management and to kaizen, im looking forward to master then and help out other to see waste in the system and eliminate them

Utilizing the Toyota effect to showed a humanistic approach in how TIMEWOODS (transportation, inventory, motion, waiting, over production, over processing, defects, skill) can have a human impact and not just a product or service impact; in making and showing a system that can make a difference in saving sight , as well as lives. A perfect example in using the law of demonstration in being a catalyst to change in making a difference in people lives.
