I just picked a lock for fist time! A cheap lock and used a nail and a hairpin, shaped them as tensioner and a pick. It was awesome! Must be a real crappy lock for me to open it with bad tools and no experience. But it was fun, like a puzzle :) Thanks for your videos, they are entertaining to watch, maybe i will buy real lock pick tools to learn more :)

I like the guys at SafeHeaven. I've recently purchased a euro cylinder disassembly kit. Used locks are cheap and I'm going to build myself a progressive lock kit. Not just for practice also for teaching others as easy locks are hard to come by in Europe. (Chinese made pad locks and other cheap locks become unreliable quickly.) One thing I'm struggling with is finding blank keys to play with.

I'm a Locksmith, for those folks who want Assa Drivers, I can get them all day. My cost is 19.4 cents each pin. A bag of 100 is $19.40. There's 5 different sizes, but don't ask me what the sizes are, as I don't remember. I would be willing to ship some of these to Bill to give out. I might have some at home to donate, I'll contact Bill directly to give out as he sees fit.

You got the same foley belsaw keying kit as me but mine it comea with spools and 5 sizes. But its odd square shape makes it take up alot of room in my van. I favor the mini kits myself

Thank you so much for the vid, my front door still vexes me. Got a high low high low Kwikset re-keyable lock. Can my Sparrows kit get me in my house if I lost my key? Ideally I could key it so it's easy to rake at my skill level, but what if it was challenging?

I recently got my hands on a ASSA Twin 6000. I have been trying to learn it. I can pick it with all 6 barrel spools. But I can’t seem to get it with the sidebar pins in. Any advise?

I recently noticed SafeHaven's offerings and had them on my to-buy list. While I appreciate the review, I hope this doesn't mean they'll sell out.

Well Bill I've been hitting the button from when i didn't know anything about picking locks, now i have a big toolbox filled with various padlocks, euro and yale locks. Picked and gutted tapped threaded re pinned. I've got more picks n tension wrenches than i need but i could do with locks n pins the kind of stuff you give away but alas after over a year of hitting different coloured buttons n looking forward to every new upload i never ever win any free giveaway from you! Is it a secret handshake or political do i need to dress up n drink the blood of a virgin goat? Jeez man. Anyway keep uploading i guess I'll keep watching as you've taught me so much. Jace

Hello I am a locksmith if your needing pins let me know I can sell you some

Seriously, you do not need any security pins in door locks. none what so ever. all you need is a key made out of steel and one or two tumbler pins made out of steel also. the steel key pins must be flush with the plug with out the key inserted for this idea to work. so in chamber 1 a key pin from 3, 4, or 5 a regular, driver and spring, in chamber 2 a steel pin that's flush, in chamber 3 same as 1. in 4 the same as chamber 2 and in 5 same as number 1 chamber. in the bible, above the steel pins you do not use a regular driver pin and spring as they are not used as you will see. the pin in that chamber is a number 3 for Kwikset in Schlage i have not used that cylinder yet so i do not know what pin to use. the idea, and this works, already tested. is that when the lock is turned upside down the steel pins fall into the bible hitting the number 3 pin as it stops the plug from turning. so my idea is to magnetize the key so that the steel pins attract to the key and be set to the proper height and open the lock. the steel pins are set above the sheer line when in the upside down position. only the proper key will work. a key copy out of brass is no good. the reason for the 1, 3, and 5 chambers being a number 3 to 5 pin is that a number 2 or 1 cut on the key will not enter all the way in as it hits the steel pin and that stops it from entering. with the lock in this condition, no one can bump, rake, or single pin pick the lock opened as the steel pins will not allow the plug to turn. only the magnetized key will open the lock. that's not stopping a forced attack however. if you can get a steel cut key and pins try it. i have used regular brass pins and key as i would have to have a machinist make the steel pins and key. see what you can do thank you. and i would like to know how it went. have a nice day.
