Another installment from the first series of Just Another Day. This 1983 episode finds John Pitman visiting Sotheby's to find out what happens there during a normal day. Includes continuity, at the beginning, to tell us that Reluctant Chickens is about to start on BBC1. Sourced from a Betamax tape.

I love ja John pitman documentary. Thankyou. Jack Pizzey was another incredible narrator presenter of the time.

Not necessarily. I found an intriguing wooden carving. I knew it was old, but wanted to know more. I took it to Sotheby's only to get more information about it. I wasn't interested in a valuation.

At 28:04, it's actually delusions of grandeur, not illusions. Good series though, love anything from the 1980s, the decade that I grew up in.
