The greatest break I’ve ever seen was against my best friend nearly 30 years ago at our local pool hall. In a game of 8 ball, he sunk 6 stripes and 1 solid on the break. The cue was hooked behind a cluster and his only real shot was on the one ball. He missed. The only stripe was a duck in the side pocket and the eight was wide open. I won that game with only two shots. The owner of the place, who was a hell of a player and had trophies all along the wall behind the counter, said that that was the shortest game of 8 ball (outside of the 8 on the break) he’d ever seen in 50 years of pool. I still make fun of my friend to this day about that.
@@AstrixCloudI’m not your mate. There is obviously no way to prove this happened (which it did) and there is no way for you to disprove it happened. Over 40 years of playing pool and I’ve never seen anything close to that. At most, maybe 4 or 5 on the break a few times.
Yeah, Shane's break is perfect. That feeling when the cue ball is chasing you back from the center of the table. Breaking in dead punch is such an incredible feeling. I love ten ball.
The physics of how these guys actually hit the cue ball is insane. The little bit of lift they put on the cue and the slight sideways momentum. Super impressive.
I broke and made 7 balls once in 9 ball break. Ironically not the 9. 4 ball and 9ball remaining with 4 ball about a half inch from being in side pocket and 9ball hanging at edge of corner pocket. Unheard of I’ll likely never see that again
My cousin Freddy got eight on the break, never seen anything like it. He scratched so it didn't count, but it is something I'll never forget. We were out of quarters so we finished the game anyways, we just skipped the eight ball. And this other time my cousin Betty dropped 10 on the break, we were playing 8 ball though. I left the bar and called an uber and instead of one showing up there were two! I got home later that night and found out my wife had a twin sister I had never met before.
@@judsonkr Fortunately your belief has no impact on the reality that this did in fact happen. Flukes happen to everyone. It does seem unreal but I remember clearly. Almost statistically impossible but still happened
The perfect break leaves you with an easy run to victory, regardless of how many balls need knocking in. Sinking a bunch of balls but having no next shot does you no good.
Wow!!! Those were amazing. Has to feel good to hit a break like that. Instantly got everyone in awe. Got a new subscriber. Was fun to watch. Great video
He botches his matches sometimes and do unnecessary things.. Honestly that guy needs a coach or spotter to point out his flaws so he could work on them. I find him extremely talented.
@@kikimomikuto6689 His breaks are great but sometimes he gives 110% and then the cue bounces off the table. Idk how he’s still playing in matchroom pool
My bud tried to break once. He jumped over all the object balls, hit the rail, cus jumped back over the rack and landed exactly where he hit from. It was a sight to see.
Moved out the house when I was 18. Me and pops shot alot of pool when I was a kid. About 5 years later he comes to visit. We go to the bar to shot a few games and have a couple beers. It's "my table" but I rack em up. he calls the 8 on the break and sinks it... Whooped my ass the rest of the night. Miss that man.
@@pearlrival3124 That not true. Jeff just blasts it hard with little control of the cue ball. Shane is almost always guarantied a ball on the break because he controls the cue ball an doesn't use as much unneeded power.
@@sukrijamuratovic5460 they're both inconsistent if you want to learn watch Albins mechanics. hes the only one in this video that understands consistency. regarding breaks corey duel is the best.
The cue power is insane on those breaks. I play pool in the UK and I’ve never seen anyone break off with that much power. They carefully aim and then throw the cue like a missile !
i potted 3 of a brake in snooker years ago. kicking of the bottom cusion its snooker but still two bottom pockets and one side aint too bad considering its snooker
A good friend and I played 8 ball on a quarter table in a bar several years ago. He broke in 1 game and made all of the solid balls and all but 3 of the stripes and the cue ball. It sounded like thunder with so many going in. Most amazing break I've ever seen.
@PsyintZ I know, I couldn't believe it myself. What surprised me also was that he didn't scratch. Cue ball and 3 stripes was all that was left. What sucked was just him and I were the only ones that were in the pool room. The sound was awesome. Lots of rolling.
@CueSportClips Not believing is completely understandable but that's what makes it amazing. It's not something that happens everyday but I saw it, and it's something that I felt lucky to see. I've got no reason to make it up. Believe it or don't believe it, it's up to you
Most ive gotten on a 9 ball break was 5, pretty cool fealing. And a teamate hit 6 balls including the 9 for a 7 point break in APA on an away game, we went on to destroy that night. 😅
One night playing 8 ball at a bar I made 2 eight balls in a row on the break and one more a few games later. The guy I was playing against got mad and put his cue back in the case and left. The best part is I was playing with a house cue. 😂
@@cuesportclips11 I also made the 8 ball on the break 3 times in a row. But I don't have that on video either but like 7 balls on the break it happened !
He couldn't have. If he had made 5 of either stripes or solids on the break then he had two of those remaining plus the 8 ball, so it had to be the 2 ball, another solid, and then the 8 ball.
Me and a buddy were shooting 8 ball years ago at a pub. We were playing 2 on 2 with a couple other guys and as my buddy was about to break he said the 8 is going in off the break. He broke, the 8 dropped. They racked the balls, he said the 8s going down again, he broke and the 8 was sunk for a 2nd time. They racked the balls and he said the 8s going down again and the other two guys said if the 8 is sunk the 3rd time they'll pay for drinks for the rest of the night..... And he sunk the 8 off the break lol 3x in a row, I couldn't believe it
I made 8 balls on a 9 ball break. The very next game I made 7. Both games I didnt make the 9, but both games it was sitting next to the pocket. I made 9 balls on an 8 ball game once, Q ball in the middle of the table and I was hooked everywhere. Table was wide open, so I played a 3 rail kick. Made the ball and ran out, lol. 1 ball and the 8 to run out. It sounded like a pinball game. Balls dropping like crazy.
I have had monster 8 and 9 ball breaks...while practicing before league, I made 6 on the break playing 8 ball. The most I've made in a tournament or league was 5..? In 9 ball, I have made 5 on the break twice, but scratched both times, so actually I set my opponent up for success with a monster break
@@cuesportclips11 I lost the break in the Maryland state tournament for doing the same thing. They said if any part of the tip touches the cue ball it's considered a shot. You can move with the wood but if you adjust your break shot with the tip it's a foul.
