She will be missed. I was lucky enough to catch Fleetwood Mac at the ACC in Toronto back in 2014. Was a great show. Absolutely loved her. ❤️

Larry,I think Sgt.Pepper's is incredible, being a bass player I knew listening to it that Paul McCartney must have originally put a ghost bass track on the songs and later put on his more worked out bass lines because the bass playing on Sgt'Pepper's is incredible throughout, his bass parts are definitely thought out and not something off the top of his head. Bob.

I’m 20. And four years ago at the time, Fleetwood Mac became my favorite band. When I would be checking out their most well known albums I would think this is some of the best music I have ever heard. Fleetwood Mac to me ranks second to my favorite band R.E.M. But always has a special place because they made me want to listen to whole albums! Now Christine is gone. She was the most respected out of the five, always the voice of reason, and always was and is irreplaceable in the band. For a rock star that didn’t want to be up front with everyone else she left a legacy for just being her. Yes I know that Fleetwood Mac did make an album without her in 2003 which is ok. But it showed she NEEDED to be on the album and with the band. There will never be another keyboardist or singer like her. She left an impact that will be felt and remembered forever.

Something by Queen probably. A former co-worker talked about her brother buying a new stereo in the 70s and We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions was the first thing he played. Blew the roof off.

Good video. I agree with you about Rumours. The best sounding album for me is Paul Simon’s Graceland. When I have a headache listening to it is better than a Bex (Australian).... or some other painkiller. Yes’ Owner of a Lonely Heart was the first song I ever heard on cd in 1985 and it sounded amazing. Before that I had just considered it another song: nothing special. Here are 12 albums, in no particular order, that sound good to me in the sense of zoning out and feeling relaxed: Graceland - Paul Simon Exodus - Bob Marley What's Going On - Marvin Gaye Pet Sounds - Beach Boys Heaven Up Here - Echo and the Bunnymen Seventeen Seconds - The Cure Closer - Joy Division Homogenic - Bjork Fifa - Angelique Kidjo Laura Pausini - her self titled Italian debut That's the Way It Is - Elvis Presley Lorenzo 1997 L’albero - Jovanotti

I think Zepplin, Floyd, Supertramp would be on my list too. Fleetwood Mac sounded already pretty good in the early years, Then Play On sounds really cool. Wouldn't have Humble Pies Performance that high but it's good. The sound of the Beatles albums is to my ear and taste not that impressive. I think I would have a couple of Jazz albums on my list of best sounding albums. Most likely a lot of stuff that says Rudy Van Gelder as recording engineer.

I agree with Dark Side of The Moon and Crime of The Century, 2 of the best sounding albums of all time and of course Abbey Road sounds amazing too as do most Beatles albums. Others in my collection I think sound really good are Avalon by Roxy Music, Machine Head (1997 remixes) by Deep Purple, Ocean to Ocean by Tori Amos and Strange Times by The Moody Blues among others. You are coming up with some great ideas Larry.

Some of my favorite sounding albums are: Red Hot Chili Peppers: Blood Sugar Sex Magik (mastered quite low, but turn the volume up and it's like you're there) CCR: Green River (the album where John Fogerty captured the "Sun" sound perfectly) Depeche Mode: Violator (François Kevorkian spend days mixing all the details to perfection) Frank Zappa: Joe's Garage (could have picked many other Zappa albums, but just love the clear 70s sound on this) Bob Dylan: Blonde On Blonde (the Nashville bass and drum sound is amazing - especially on Memphis Blues Again) Queen: The Game (their first album with Mack - love the 'live' sound on this album) Talk Talk: Spirit Of Eden (the 'no compression' approach just makes a unique intimate sound) My Bloody Valentine: Loveless (OMG the guitars!!! - love this album a lot - favorite sounding song is 'Sometimes')

Hola Muff! I believe you are my audio "soul mate" as regards ALL your choices (w/the possible exception of McCartney's Ram. nonetheless, an incredibly entertaining, yet very much understated video, food stains and all! BTW, I would humbly recommend "The Nightfly" by Donald Fagen not only for its brilliant production quality but obviously brilliant content as well! I go by AudiophileMB and I have a rather large CD collection which I enjoy on my speaker setup but primarily Headphone setup as I own a brownstone in Brooklyn, NYC and thus, somewhat of a volume constraint upon occasion! Kudos though brother! All your picks are in my collection as well! Would love to know what other CD treasures you enjoy in the great whit north. Ciao my new friend! BTW, you've a new subscriber.

Audio recording technology had come a long way since Gaucho! Now I would argue, had they still existed (with the same "chops")....with today's technology the results would be even more phenomenal! @@Whit-mh9nt Their true talent/s (mostly Fagen if one is honest) lie in composition and studio production! MOST if not ALL of the magic really happens in the recording and mixing booths/rooms!

Nice...of u r list I would agree with 10CC " How Dare You " although you didn't spend enough time on them and the clarity ( especially of the re-mastered version ) of that particular CD...Jan Hammer " Melodies " pretty much BLOWS every other album I possess out of the water...I ( humbly say ) I have a lot of Albums :)

I noticed the headline.. I didn't hear about this until reading the title to your video.. I love the rumors era of Fleetwood Mac. The chain will still keep them together even though one is in heaven now.. An American/British combo lineup that was awesome. No diss to the early Fleetwood Mac though when they were a blues band. That early lineup was awesome as well. I just remember as a little kid digging the rumors era of Fleetwood Mac. A sad day for rOck 'n rOlL.. We won't forget the music though.. )^_-) As far as best sounding albums go.. Led Zeppelin 1 and Van Halen 1 and The Ramones It's Alive! albums.. Go buy them now.. )^_-)/

Hey Larry! Nice list :D If asked a couple of months ago, I'd rattle off a list of 12 off the top of mu head and it would look something like this... Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy Deep Purple - Burn Rainbow - Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow David Bowie - Pinups Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs Elvis Costello and the Attractions - Imperial Bedroom T.Rex - The Slider Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies Ian Hunter - Ian Hunter Eric Clapton - 461 Ocean Blvd Jethro Tull - Minstrel in the Gallery The Beatles - Abbey Road ... of course cheeky as I am, I'd make it a bakers' dozen... -- or -- I'd rattle off a list of soundtracks, live albums and compilations [Jimi Hendrix - Soundtrack Recordings from the Film 'Jimi Hendrix' might cover all 3 categories] But today I can''t imagine a list without these 2 at the top... The Beatles - Revolver Fleetwood Mac - Rumours... RIP Christine :( Cheers!

Just about any CD on the GRP label, particularly what was released in the late 80s or early 90s. I kinda fell into this music, which is Jazz/Modern Jazz, because I was curious to hear a recording by Diana Krall. I was so blown away by the clarity and soundstage of her "Only Trust Your Heart" CD that I was curious to see if releases by other artists were as well produced. They were!
