I never hand wash anything. I use Delicate cycle on my front load washer with Woolite and either air dry on a rack or on very low heat in the dryer. If it’s dry clean only, I use the Woolite dry clean sheets in the dryer.

I agree on cashmere's warmth, lightweight, and does not take up a lot of space under coats. I also feel the same for alpaca and merino wool from Italy.
