Wish Mattel would sell the doll and outfits by itself without having to buy the 12 day box. I have last years and definitely don't need another duplicate. Love the doll and fashions thank you for the unboxing!
Thank you for a great detailed review. I love all the fun accessories this set comes with, but I agree with you 💯 on the stand and the duplicate package. A STAND should not count as one of your items.🙄 I wish Mattel would do a Christmas Fashion Gift Set that had a great outfit, with mix and match pieces and some fun accessory’s minus the additional doll and big gift box. Without these two items they you could probably get a great set for around $75 and redress some of your favorite existing dolls in your collection. Also without the heavy gift box the shipping could be far less. Thanks again for your great review and happy holidays!!

I just want the doll in one of the outfits couldn't care less about the accessories. I have been looking for an original face mold doll in a darker skin tone. I guess I can get a Silkstone, but they are pricey as well. Hopefully, with Barbies 65 th anniversary, they do one.
Excellent review, I agree with box number #2, it could have at least included a pair of Cinderella type shoes with gold glitter on them or a midriff blouse to match the green pants! I didn't purchase this doll however, after seeing your video... I'll add it to my "cart" search for a promo code or see if the doll goes on sale (if still in stock) after the holiday. Thank you! i prefer molded vacuumed metal jewelry. However, given the price for this set, Mattel should have gone 100% vintage and given the doll a strung necklace and bracelet. Because i think this set was a little over $100, right?

The doll is beautiful, but she is NOT worth $150.00. If she was a Silkstone, then maybe. She is just a cheap doll with beautiful dresses a pretty face a and a bunch of accessories that I got a Five & Below for $5.00. I did, I got a gingerbread house, cookies' a cake log a wreath and too many other things to remember. I can get a Integrity doll for that price! Not happy with Mattel at all!
Congratulations. I love the overall look of this new release. The feel of the packaging alone is awesome. In contrast I am a bit disappointed to see plastic looking jewelry and I would have preferred less money for the presentation and a bit more in the doll accessories. This they could have done better but it is what it is. Thanks a lot for the great review.

Thanks for the review. She’s so beautiful but an agree with you, not so sure about her hair. I would have love if she would’ve had a pony swirl or even an American girl hair cut. I’m so tempted to get her.
She is quite pricey! She hasn’t sold out yet on mattel creations, so maybe you can wait a little bit and see if she’s still on your mind in a few days time.
I love her to pieces, but I do think that for the price, that red sheath should most definitely have been lined in white to protect her from staining. Lining a sheath, when properly done, actually improves its drape. I would have actually lined the green bodice as well, and maybe put in a contrast lining on the skirt. But that's predicated on a handmade garment made from real silks of various weaves, and not something I would have expected from a mass-produced doll. Still, she's adorable, the design behind her is good, and I would definitely have gotten her if it had been at all possible in the budget. I love all the little plastic accessories if they are molded in different colors and painted. It's the modern tendency for Mattel to produce undifferentiated, single-colored chunks of plastic as accessories that I hate. Enjoy her, and the happiest of holidays to you!
All really great points! I guess I just haven't seen enough linings that have been done well on barbie scale. Although, Integrity Toys' doll fashions use linings pretty often, and I do like they way they execute them. Happy holidays!
That's not a brocade Manny it's a Jacquard by the looks of it I actually like the face and dress but that hairline... Yeah, choices... In general I always find Mattel's stuff way overpriced but as you said to each his own... At least you can mix and match with this year's and last's items...
A brocade is a type of jacquard if I’m not mistaken. Jacquard is a type of weave and brocade describes the style that often has a metallic shiny effect. That’s how I learned it anyway 🤷🏻♂️. But yep! I agree, pricey set. I’ve been doing pretty good with budget since I’ve been thrifting and stuff, so I thought I could splurge for xmas/birthday for myself this year🧁 yay!
@@somelikeitvntg Mmm not really brocades are usually risen and multilayered and tend to be stiff fabrics while jacquards can be lighter fabrics with a design/motif woven into the fabric, but most modern brocades are woven in jacquard looms so it's easily mistaken that both are the same and depending on the manufacture they indeed sometimes are... And yaaaaay for birthday/xmas splurges!!!! I was hoping for some dolly deals on BF but it was a major bust around here... In the end I bought nothing! XDDD
@@ThatGuyGabeToo Oh really? hmm interesting. When I was shopper back when I worked in costumes I always heard the fabric reffered to as brocade. And whenever I shopped, the fabric stores just called them all brocade and I hardly ever heard the term jacquard used. It's probably a modern thing. It's easier to refer to them all as brocade. I made 1 purchase for black friday! It was the buy on get one free that Mattel creations had. I got two Barbie Rewind dolls, the prom queen and christie in the pajama set! I never had any intention of buying them at full price so the BOGO deal is a nice sale to try them out.

I've been considering to add this set to my collection as I do not have the first one and the little red dress might have sold it for me and the doll on her own looks beautiful. And you're right about the pronouced forehead on the doll, I first notice it in one of my BFMC Silkstones I purchased back in 2012 (although I have my suspicions this trend started back in 2009) and the thing is... their heads are bigger, particularly around the forehead, not sure if the purpose behind is to give the doll a better silhouette or a better screening, but I did find it annoying at first. Funnily enough, the dolls I'm talking about (Walking Suit and Luncheon Ensemble) share the same hairstyle with this new Christmas barbie, although both of them are wearing something else in ther heads.
My Birthday Beau Barbie has this forehead design too, and I like it! If I reroot some of my 90s repros some day, I'll probably get rid of their bangs and give them this straight neat clean look... ✂️💥🥷
@@PlayfulCrafts oh, it would be interesting to see a 90s superstar barbie with this kind of hairstyle, for sure ! And agree about the clean neat look this hairstyle gives to the barbies, personally it took me a couple of years to get used to it but now every doll with nostalgic face has the same size mold instead of the previous one (which remains my favourite) but still they look lovely.
I like birthday beau's hair style! It's a cute ponytail flip. I kind of wish they did the same ponytail flip to this xmas doll. I would also love to see some more repros with the swoop side bang like the vintage swirl ponytails. I don't see that style enough in the BFMC or other vintage style dolls.
