Oh Kathleen, it is amazing how creative and original your work is. It is truly extrodinary how you share your many gifts with us. You are so kind and selfless. You have no idea how many lives you brighten every day. Hugs to you
Everything looks so beautiful! Really great ideas and I wish I would have seen this when I first started. Mainly because I thought I didn’t have enough beautiful things to make a journal. Amazing what can be done with simple items. Thanks for the inspiration! Hugs 🤗❤️
I love this so much❤️ I’ve had so many of these various items in my stash for years and rarely know what to do with them. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas ❤💐🫶
So many wonderful ideas in one video, Kathleen. I love how you come up with so many ideas that seem simple on the surface (a recipe card for a pocket, for instance) and you give it the extra touches that make it perfect for the page it is on. I can't pick my favorite from this group of pockets, but the peek-a-boo pocket is at the top of the list. I think this one may be the peekingest-peek-a-boo yet. And it looks so pretty on that pink page with the doily design peeking up over the top of the pocket. I always love old letters and/or envelopes and you made that one look so pretty with the napkin decoupage. I love that you used book page to strengthen the back and add that little glimpse of type, too. It is so fun to watch your process in making this journal. Thank you for doing the series; it's very helpful and inspiring.
Breakfast is not the same without a Kathleen Mower video 🤩. Thank you for sharing your wonderful pocket ideas 🤩. I have a drawer full of those bits that l collect but never use.
I so appreciate your company Davina and I’m glad you stopped by for breakfast! I hope you’ll use an idea or two to empty that drawer! Thanks so much for watching.
Brilliant video, Kathleen! You have included so many wonderful techniques/ideas for changing our collected supplies into very useful, creative elements for journals. Well done to you! Thank you! 😀💞
I love that postcard idea!! Sanding it then embossing it. I’m not a beginner but I am still pretty green when it comes to the possibilities of a journal and a lot of these I never would have thought of. Definitely using the postcard idea for sure!! I wish I had some of those button cards. I’ll have to keep an eye out at thrift stores.
Hi Kathleen, thank you for this video, I’ve gotten so many great ideas! I do have a lot of these items already, but don’t really know how to make them more “vintage” looking. I never would have thought to add water to a photo. That really gave it a totally different look.
I enjoy your videos, so inspiring and not so much on the chatty side. Thank you. If you use magazine images would love to see how you use them, and love the simple pocket flips.
