Why not go into the really interesting body language of lying vs telling the truth vs looking for the correct/proper way to express something? Much more helpful than these. You know, this video fails to point out that every gesture shouldn't be read so much into. For example, I have a habit of crossing my arms when someone is telling me something. It's just something I do to tell my body not to make a move and actually pay attention to what is being said to me. It helps me think more because my arms act as a sort of 'blockade', so that I do not act or respond until I have processed all information and actually considered my options carefully.

A body language you also shouldn't do: Grab your arm with one hand makes you look uncomfortable, shy and, uninterested in talking to someone. It also looked like something bad has happened. Putting all your fingers against each other is also a sign of shyness and timidity. Or tapping your index finger against the other index finger, which is fidgeting.

Please don't believe any of this BS. The messages that people send with body language are a totality of the positioning and movements of all parts of their bodies and faces. These gestures alone have no definitive or single meaning. Also, the relationship between two individuals will alter how body language is intended and interpreted.
Cross your hands at your wrists, or have your hands clasped without the fingers laced. Stand with weight on one leg predominantly. Move your hands animatedly during conversation, but never toward your partner. All of these are welcoming and show a more at-ease conversationalist
This isn't even true in the US. For example, hands in pocket just shows more casual "ness" and holding your arm behind your back can show your shy. 90% of this is BS and is just fake as heck. Poor them, trying to look professional.

People can be so judgemental towards someone just because they didn'tsmile 'correctly'. I prefer to see people in what they do in their lives, their real actions, charities, kindness, love, caring attitudes and not focus on their body behaviour.

Anyone who takes the time to analyze every move and posture is a sick individual. I can tell all of these without the analysis. So according to you I’m always angry and lying. I always grip my arm behind my back because I’m fidgety and I do’s it when I get nervous not angry. While attending college in 1987 body language was a big part of a human resources class that was required. This is 1 reason I find "people watching" entertaining.

When I see someone with gripping their hands behind their back, crossing their ankles, hands in their pocket, clasping their hand, elbows on the table fingers laced together, hand reaching toward me, hands on their hips,hitch hiker's thumb, or hand covering their mouth I'm not the least bit offended or not want to be with that person. So why would they feel negative toward me if I subconsciously did those things.
Hello! This is for "Bright Side". I commend you on this excellent video! My favorite part is when the narrator tells you the true message behind gestures. I think, learning to use body language appropriately is not easy for anyone. We all wonder what went wrong when things we want to go right, go downhill instead. This video may shed some light on the mystery behind the why's of certain conflicts in our lives. In addition I find this video especially meaningful in a way, you may have not expected. My teenage grandson has high functioning Autism. We have spent more hours than I can count teaching him social communication skills involving body language. Neruo-typical (normal) children pick up body language naturally,. Yes, parents teach their children manners, but manners does not fall under the category of "body language". Let me explain further, Neuro-typical children pick up subtle nuances of body language on their own when they are developmental ready. Children with Autism do not. They need daily, one on one instruction as much as opportunity exists. I like that this video explains the purpose behind the mystery of body language. It explains it in a clear and easy to understand way. I love it when I learn something new, and plan to teach it to my grandson. I am going to teach him, how long he should look someone in the eye and in what situations to apply it. I confess, I could use some practice, myself! I think you have done a great job. While you have reached out to the general public, I can cast my vote for this video being very useful for the Autism community. You might consider reaching out to a few Autism organizations and see whether it might be in your best interest to hook up with one or two. You just never know where it will take you. Please, take this as a huge compliment. I believe my grandson will find video useful and meaningful. I have subscribed and "liked" your video and look forward to watching many more. great info, I was raised to watch my moms eyes for approval and sometimes body language, regardless of what she says, I must respond to the eye or body language, because she doesn't want us accepting anything from anyone, friend or stranger.
And I'll try to be polite and I will make sure that I'm kinda kind only to the people who i really respect. I don't have to force myself to be nice all the time
Arms behind back while clasping hands is a sign of being patient, so if you holding an arm and someone notices; just give a little scratch and slide your hands into a claps and give a little smile. Your impatient stance has been averted.
Its crazy they give meaning to all of this as a negative signs 😔 i talk sometimes with my hands in my pocket when i feel cold outside ory hands on the table because im interested to listen and now i know it negative sign 😅
When you said shaking your finger at someone, I immediately thought of Sonic the Hedgehog. That one scene in SSBB Subspace Emissary where he wags his finger at Tabuu when he’s about to do the second shock wave to turn all the other characters back into trophies.
