Thanks for watching y'all. This was so fun to arrange. Shout outs to the nephew @Myles Erlick for the epic cymbal kick! Tag some your friends that will appreciate this.
Hey, just a small thing i noticed, for africa, in the chapter bar for the video you guys put "Todo" and not "Toto" the band, not sure if you want to change it but i thought i would point it out :)
Seeing Beard Guy peeking out between Joel and Sarah really got me in my feels, I doubt it was an accident! I'm thinking that blue heart hanging off the neck (in the position where he stood during the original Somebody That I Used to Know) is a tribute to Mike too. I was in the audience of the very first tour date they played after his passing and fans started a campaign to print out hundreds of blue paper hearts and distribute them through the crowd to hold up in remembrance of him. It's been almost 5 years but I know he'll never be forgotten. Huge shout-out to the band for always keeping his memory alive!
I managed to watch the whole video and not see Beard Guy there until I read your comment. You made me watch the whole video again to check it, so thanks for that!
Friggin incredible. I’m a 71 year old guy sitting here with my 8 year old grandson and we’re both singing along and loving every bit of this amazing group. When you can get two guys 63 years apart to share the same music… that’s one phenomenal group.
Maaaan... you guys starting off with "Somebody That I Used to Know" took me back! Back to when I (and so many other Wotelings) first discovered you guys with your first viral video. All these years later, you guys are still killin' it with the incredible musical talent, skills, and creativity. Amazing video, as always!!
I got chills on the high harmony in "Alone", and then at the start of "Africa" when the two were sining the same octave and notes exactly, and you could only hear the timbre differences.......**Chefs kiss** soooooo well done.
I gotta say my favorite part of this video is how everyone got a bit of stand out vocal time. As a harmony you all are amazing but hearing each person individually gives me chills. You are all so talented!
Incredible as always. Your harmonies are so in sync it blows my mind. Glad to see Tokyo's hip movements from the concerts have infatuated the whole group!
Joel's voice is so unique, I can't get enough of it! It sounds like he has compression on it when he sings naturally, its just so smooth and savage! Love you WOTE!!
I love everything about this video Beard guy the blue heart the tiny cymbal on Tokyos hat Joel singing Joel and my husband being twins Tokyo's smooth dancing your perfect blending voices the pure energy you have and the huge smile on my face while listening the vintage vibes this gives to me and my husband being wote fans for 10 years now
It's not live tho. Literally none of their videos are anywhere near a live recording. It's even worse; the one video where it all started was a total scam, where the audio was multitracked way before they even came near the idea of the video. Even their "live" performances completely rely on a well produced backingtrack, where only (some of) the vocals and the drums are actually live. It's very sad that the one thing you're known for, you can't actually do.
@@benedykt123313You seem to love making stuff up. Yes there’s a backing track but about half of it is them live. Stop spreading pessimistic misinformation
Love the ease Gianni sings with now. Always felt he was really “pushing “ his voice back then……but been a fan since day one. Glad to see you all are still around, doing well and as always…..musically blessed! 🙏
This is a classic WOTE video, playing on 1 instrument (and others beside it of course). "Classic" as in a good way of course! Enjoying playing yourself, great to watch you guys playing. Loved the cymbal kick 3:45 , the hip moves on Kylie 4:31 😁 I never though that Kylie, Ed and Gotye can be merged into one song 🤣🤘
Wow!!! It’s 2022 and I’ve just discovered you guys and Sarah. Thank you for the talent and the joy you’ve given the world. Love love love your music ❤️💗💜
Alone from Heart is just amazing. You definitiv have to make this whole song, that would be so wonderful. But listen, the other composition are also beautiful. You all are such so creative. Thanks so much for that.
The musicality, ingenuity and creativity of this group is stunningly impressive. 👍 Thank you! You served me a bunch of my favorite songs and it looks like you’re doing it effortlessly (I understand it’s not - there must be a lot of hard work behind your wonderful performance).
Amazing arrangement guys. Really cool to compare the old version of “somebody.” You can hear ten years of practice and development in your voices and skills. You were great back then but so much better now. Gianni’s voice is so controlled and smooth now! He used to have that forceful metal scream and now it just sounds like effortless high notes. Really amazing.
1.) @walk off the earth, watching how happy it makes you all to make is one of my favorite things. Out of all the things, you genuinely seem so good natured and beautiful when you play it warms my heart like you wouldn't believe 2.) I love when mr tapdancer (my apologies, I do not know his name) walked off screen how reminiscent everyone's faces were of when beard guy would walk off screen
This is the most original thing I have ever seen! My eyes have now been opened to the multiple people one guitar phenomenon that is this one video… No other one like it. Ingenuity at its purest.
Aaaaand I'm gonna need a full version of that Toto cover now, thx. Or Heart. Either one would make me super happy. Or Fleetwood Mac so I can get more of that Tokyo hip-shimmy dance. The important thing is that you keep making kick-ass covers ^_^
These people are a Cure! They can turn a frown upside down fast, make a bad day go away! I have never seen a group this talented in my life! God was having an amazing day when he thought each one of you up ! I can’t wait to see what you will do next i mean i have never danced in my life but second’s after you all start I’m up and moving every time!
I haven’t been able to watch a video since beard guys passing. He always made me smile every time you all posted. Now after all this time I come back and I see his picture in the back with the blue heart on the guitar. It reminded me that we never truly lose people…ever. I loved this so much and I needed to hear it after a good day. Thank you guys for being there for people. I’m definitely going to go back and see all the greatness I missed while I was gone. Thank you for always being there guys. Seriously.
You guys! Just now seeing this. I came to love you guys from 5 people on a guitar and have had mad respect for you all and 1 show seeing you since. Love you guys! RIP Beard Guy 💗 You're missed
SO FREAKIN' INCREDIBLE!!! The complexity to mash all these and play these intruments like that is CRAZY but you guys ALWAYS make it look SO EASY! I LOVE you guys!! So good as always!! 👍
It’s viral video time. This is freaking amazing. Exceptional talent. Thank you so much for taking the time and posting this. This will go down as one of your best of all time ❣️🔥
We've seen a few of the faces change over the years, and we miss them, but the new faces, AND voices never fail to bring the best. Long time follower and i don't see that changing anytime soon.
Tell me why I was literally freaking out watching this, the Somebody That I Used To Know comeback! And y’all should totally do a full cover of Heatwaves! It’s always nice to see Joel AND Tokyo singing, especially Joel singing Bad Habits!
Please don’t ever stop, especially with the stunt grooving. This kind of raw creativity is an exemplary expression of our creation in the image of the creator of the universe.
PLEASE do a full cover of some of these! Alone?! Dreams?!?! AFRICA?!??!?! It's truly a matter of the *highest* importance that we get to experience the full WOTE take on these classics.
You know when this first started I loved it Like everyone I was amazed at the concept and execution but really thought it was some talented friends with too much time on their hands. Now, fast forward to the present and there are three amazing kids, fans worldwide and a career making smiles with your friends. There have been some low spots and trials we've all been thru with you guys. You have family in every corner of the world now and you'll never be a stranger no matter where you go. Just know that we, your loyal fans, when you need us just call. We are truly in your debt and will be there if you ever need a hand. What can we do for you? 🤙✌🧡
This comment means so much to us! The WOTEling community has grown into something we could have never imagined when we were jamming in our parents basements. We've had the chance to meet so many of you over the years and we couldn't ask for a better group of humans to call our fans and supporters. Ya'll are truly our extended family. Love y'all - WOTE

So proud you're from my City woohoo~!!! You guys are one of a kind, love you....everything you do, your voices mesh and unite so beautifully YOU ROCK!!!!!
Beard Guy between Sarah and Joel had me emotional considering “Someboady I used to know” was the first song I heard from them 😭 You are really missed Mike ❤️🔥
Literally the most talented group of people I’ve ever seen. Been following you guys for at least a decade if not more now. Just always blows my mind! ❤
some months already in, but wow those voices really got even stronger during all those years. You look all so beautiful and well. Thanks for sharing your joy and love you feel while playing those songs. Cymbal kick omg what a trousers. I guess the smiling during Oh no comes from the noisy interpretation? and the medleys at the end - what a great composition overall. Thanks SOTP - WOTE
