Loving your enthusiasm, that’s what makes fishing so addictive, but seriously, never turn your back on the water, don’t stand in the water and give the herring a miss and chase mullet. I might have to take you with me land based night fishing in some of the creeks and I will show you what’s lurking in that water, the night time certainly brings all of your senses alive and makes you respect the water a hell of a lot more
Sick video brother! I’ve been waiting for another vid to pop up. Just a tip for getting those bait fish(hardy heads) instead of pulling them down from their head push them from the tail through the net. It makes life so much easier when you get that many in one cast. It also helps keep more of the fishes heads attached rather than them getting ripped off.
hey man thank you for the comment bro means a lot I'm glad you enjoy the videos bro and yes thats what I was doin man much better to keep them alive brother thank you again 😊
Hi Luke pity you can't get a big barra down here in melb there been 2 kingfish caught from the shore at Geelong the whiting is on fire at St Leonard's and you missed out on a very snapper season now fisherman are catching tuna of barwon heads cheers Phil Vasssllo
hey mate, I've been watching your channel now for a while. I'm from the NT and have to say I'm really concerned with the complacency you show for crocs. Especially considering your planning a lap.
@@lukefalzon no joke, love the vids but have a bit of respect for nature. Especially fishing on estruaries they won’t leave you alone just because you have a big TikTok following. Don’t wanna see you on a A Current Affair report brother, just learn to cast an extra 2 metres that’s all the difference it takes to stand on land instead of feet in the water
Hay mate just letting you k ow that when you are fishing for Barra they don’t tend to bite they suck it up and swallow the hook and you need to hold the rod at all times to feel it when they give it a good bite love the content mate keep it up
Love ya vids bro even though you've been unlucky I can t help but respect your patience and excitement. 50mm-60mm pvc pipe bro 1 metre long cut an 45 degree angle on 1 end so you can easily spear it into sand. Best beach rod holder you will have better hook ups mate and you will not lose your setup if you get a big strike.
Nice watching you learn mate!! In that situation you could have put a livey under a float and followed it along the bank to the river mouth. Bound to get smoked doing that!
You crack me up brutha! Out there doing it no matter what👍👍 do me a favour brutha and go get yourself a Shimano 8000 baitrunner. When live baiting the baitrunner is the only way to go🤙🤙 you’ll thank me later 😜😜 Fish hard cuz🎣
Shimano baitrunner is a reel. Has 2 drag settings. When live baiting your secondary light drag lets the livie get taken and swallowed. A lot of big fish will spit the livie if they feel any pressure. When it’s running count three seconds , wind the reel once and it engages your primary drag and sets the hook!!! Then you’re not messing around tightening your drag because it’s pre set. All you have to do then brother is play him in👍👍👍
Hey mate quick tip that gets overlooked is putting sunscreen on ya forehead don't do it that's how the sunscreen gets in your eyes. The way you wear ya lids you won't get burnt there mate 🤙🤙
10/10 presentation , if you’re going to set a line in that country from land use a heavy hand line so you have a chance at landing a fish , when the tide runs unweighted baits will float with the current and can be fed out 50 m downstream into a hole or eddy wind in repeat , keep your rod in your hand mate . Good luck I’m invested 😂 grasshopper use your boat to your advantage also using these methods …
I love your videos honestley you never give up and always keep on going even f you dont catch much yoy are always so chill about it you are very inspiring
You are getting better! 👍 Lol there's a reason WHY it's called FISHING and not CATCHING. 80/20 rule. 80% of the fish will concentrate on 20% of the body of water or structure. 😉
@@lukefalzon I’m good man! just starting to get into fishing, in the NSW Nepean river area, and the George’s River , in you’re opinion, is bait or soft plastics better to use
Bro im only 3 minutes in... Okay... I moved to QLD 2 years ago and still haven't caught a barra. I've been on the water for 30 days spread across a few trips. Not a single one. It'll come and the way you're doing it, the way you want to do it, will make it so so so sweet. THE SUNSCREEN IN YOUR EYES. as a boy from WA, ZINC is your friend. The hot weather and the sweating, use zinc bro. It doesn't drip or run. Going to keep watching now :P GOOD LUCK BRO!
Plenty of Barra being caught in the last week or two in Thomatis creek. Boat ramp is at Holloway's beach. In the ten years I lived in Cairns I caught more Barra on half a mullet than I did on live mullet. Live mullet are awesome but I always did well on the tail end of a fresh dead one, if you can, fish one of each.
No I live NSW but Visit my dad every now and then he lives up up there and when ever I go I try to catch Barra it’s fun just fishing creeks around cairns on bikes
Hey Lukey hold your cast net up near your head and shake it out bro so so much easyer and will have more chances that the fish live Especially with herring as if out of water to long they die so fast
Pro tip for fishing barramundi: if you know many people in asian fishing barramundi with shrimp or squid and asian people fishing barramundi with medium-large size float the best shrimp for barramundi is tiger shrimp
Weather is warming up Barra should start really going soon, try cut a dead mullet down the middle length ways and fold the sides onto each other so his insides on the outside, hook through the eye socket n back again through the tail
@@lukefalzon I’m doing great, I love the energy you bring in your videos it’s very entertaining to watch and your always nice to everyone. Thank you for being you!
Yes I have been fishing in high country Victoria I caught a 73cm carp and 34 cm Redfin/English perch.( also thanks for the reply and like I’m not used to big creators liking my comments lol)
