Love your work John, outstanding comparison's! Hands down the best reviews on the net. Definitely help me in choosing a new whoop.

On behalf of the community, I just wanted to say thanks for putting this together. I saw last year's video as well. I appreciate you doing all the work. I know that was very time consuming. To answer your question in your video, my recommendation would be the Beta 85 Pro 2. I've never flown it but I understand it to be the copy of Mr. Shutterbug's 85x which I recently built and it's absolutely amazing. Not great for indoor due to it's oversize though. But for outdoor, it's absolutely amazing and his tune is spot on.

Good show buddy and nice selection I saw your 1st whoop off and am glad you continue to take the time and effort to do this for whoop freaks like me cause the technology that goes into these tiny wonders continues to blow my mind and now I can't wait for the Moblites to come out man the big wave of innovation we are on is exciting with the race to lighter, faster and farther but I still have a blast flying old school running silverware with brushed motors that's how fun these are. Thanks and keep doing what you do if you can.

love the thoroughness of your reviews when you do these big comparisons of multiple quads john, it's like me listening to Mr Scott on star trek, it all sounds important and technical and i am mesmerized by it... but it is in the summary where you explain the whys and wherefores that I get your decisions on what's best for you at this moment in time and it's not just from the technical stuff you derived from your tests either, which is a personal opinion touch that I really like. To my Manchester, England ear, you sound like Columbo, which has me hooked already because he knows everything about... everything. Another great review, i am a few years behind you flight wise, i think, so my best so far is is an rtf eachine m80 (following your review a while back). I have tried the original tinyhawk and freestyle but sadly i am just not ready for betaflight yet, (i still have an LDARC 7x rtf in its box that haven't had the courage to try yet lol)I still have one foot in the toy drone department with A.I.O's attached just to get used to the experience a little better. Again thanks for a cracking youtube channel watch in these dreary wet and cold winter months.

Many would say a Tiny Whoop is a proprietary trademark, for a company that began racing & selling modified 1S brushed 65mm ducted Blade Inductrix quads. Others may say the words have become synonymous with ANY 1S 65mm ducted quad, whether they are brushed or brushless. Still some may say 1S 75mm ducted quads are included, based off the 75mm Blade Inductrix FPV+... Very few would consider any 85mm or 95mm wheelbase quad a "whoop", or anything with more than 1 battery cell. That eliminates 17 off your spreadsheet. Just because it's a quad with ducts doesn't make it a Tiny Whoop... Still, nice work.

All my whoops go in one big dresser drawer. I do try to fly them all once a month. I also take parts to build new ones. I just ordered the Shark Bite system and modifying one of my 2S US65pro to make a 36 gram digital whoop. I also gave a few of my brushless whoops to younger kids at some of the races I been at. What can I say I like drones like some women like shoes.

Thank you; awesome comparison!! I think you might have made a little mistake in the thrust calculation of the Beta 75X though ;) The way I made my thrust stand is to have the quad hanging upside down (attached with some rubber bands). That way I don't need a lever, and no need to match the lever length and height on both sides of the pivot (plus the quad is always stable in that position). I just attached two thin 90° angle brackets together to form a 'C' shape, and fixed that to a little wooden base so I can simply place it on the scales. The quad then straps upside down under the top arm of the little gallow-like thing, and it's good to go! One more advantage is that the wind coming off the props is completely unobstructed. It just goes the opposite direction compared to normal, lol ;) Thanks again mate, cheers!!

Thanks for the info on setting up a new thrust bench, I will need to try it. I will also fix the error on the BetaFPV 75X dji on the spreadsheet in the description. RU-vid won't let me add a note in the video. Thanks

How long can you fly with the 25k? Because I think I’ll get the 19k because I can fly longer.
@RADERFPV
@RADERFPV 3 года назад
@@timbonator1 I get 4 to 5 minutes on the stock blheli esc firmware, and about 5 to 6 minutes when running jesc. I would get the 19k version if plan on mainly flying it indoors, and I would definitely get the 25K version if you plan on flying mostly outdoors. You really need that extra "oomph" to get out of jams and fight wind when flying outside.

Nice roundup John! Was thinking of doing that myself. Interesting that it had the same power to weight but more speed than the 85. Why do you like the 85 better? Also, I figured that you would pick the AE65 for the win. I bet you can’t wait for next gen Mobula.

Hi John, great round up. Which dji quad would you recommend for indoor flying? Perhaps another column on your spreadsheet to show how loud they are? as some are too noisy for indoor!
@jmoore3854
@jmoore3854 3 года назад
I have 3 smaller dji quads. I just flew them again to see how they compared on sound noise. The three quads are BetaFPV 85X AUW 90grams, iFlight A85 DJI AUW 144grams and the GEPRC Rocket Plus 2" AUW 227grams. The sound noise was proportional to weight. The BetaFPV 85X was loud but still is fine to use inside. The iFlight A85 is on the edge on what is acceptable for flying inside and the GEPRC Rocket is too loud. For inside flying I prefer tiny whoops that have all up weights (AUW) under 40 grams. Unless you only have a dji system and do not want to buy a cheap analog system I would stick to analog for inside use.
@syluntbob6877
@syluntbob6877 3 года назад
@@jmoore3854 thanks for the info, most dji user still have analog for this reason, I love my Tinyhawks but want an indoor digital whoop. Was the A85 on 3s or 4s? Someone will hopefully come up with an ultra light digital whoop soon 🙏🏻

I got confused with the A85 iflight…. The one they sell is 1204 motors, but you used the one that comes with better motors. So the 1204 would not perform as well as the ones you used?
@jmoore3854
@jmoore3854 3 года назад
Mine was a newer model with the 1303 motors. They are a millimeter wider and a millimeter shorter. The wider motor gives it more torque at a lower throttle level. I did not fly the model with the 1204 motors but echo what Albert Kim said after he flew both models.

Do you think it is possible to put a naked dji module to the beta85 pro 2? Or is it going to be to heavy on this exact setup?

It would probably work but BetaFPV has their Beta85X Digital that does that except it uses 8,000kv motors on 3S vs 11,000 kv motors on 2S

What is the best 1s crossfire whoop right now on the market for inside flying ?
@jmoore3854
@jmoore3854 3 года назад
Crossfire for inside flying is probably not needed. Reception in most homes are good with the spi receivers. Why add 2 extra grams and $20 in cost to get crossfire for indoor use. If you want crossfire and you want the best I would get the NBD AcroBee65 BeeBrain or the iFlight A65.
