thanks for this video. Lots of useful information and mods I can try when I get the moblite7. I do think that the canopy will be the first thing I will try. Then props …. Flashing firmware is a little unnerving but I just flashed new firmware on my Radiomaster and survived, so I would like to do that as well. Stay warm.

mobula 6 flight time went from 2.5min to 3.3 - 3.5 but had a wonderful smooth flight vs before flash of jesc Now the tinyhawk 2 i went from 2.5 - 2.6 to 5+ minutes and it fly's amazing. also worth noting if you flash with the 2.3 version of jesc it will be more controlled and smooth and great flight times but if you flash jesc 2.2 then is will still give you a little bit of flight time but it will be way faster i never thought the tinyhawk 2 would handle and fly as smooth as it does with the jesc firmware.

Unfortunately, the glow-in-the-dark-frame breaks real easy. Go with the black v2 frame instead, and you can probably forget that glue tube for now. Also, I find that that battery orientation actually increases prop wash ;)

Hey @halfChrome! Awesome vids about the Mobula family. Can you share your BetaFlight configs with me? I somehow messed up my Mobula6 configs and am getting only 2-3mins flight time after flashing it with JESC :( Thx in advance and keep up the awesome work!

JESC configurator to do exactly what again?? I need to configure my moblite 7 but not sure of this will do what for me. Flash what firmware and how would that change anything for me?

Great video. Found it on your website looking to improve my flight time with the moblite7. On 530mAh battery I don't even get two minutes out of it. I was using these batteries for my geprc previously (which holds two of them) giving me around 5-6 minutes. It is HDZero version, perhaps this VTX is drawing a lot of power? I'm going to see if I can flash the ESC's, but seeing that it already came with betaflight 4.3.0, I would assume other firmwares would already be more recent versions? Or am I mistaken and is the BLHeli a 3rd party firmware that manufacterers don't use? Also the camera is mounted at a 90° angle, so the battery goes in sideways, which I guess would produce more drag? Should I change that?

BlueJay firmware at 96k is the best ESC firmware but I’m guessing your batteries are bad. HDZero does pull more power but you should be able to get more than 3 min on a battery like that. Mobula 7 1S?

@@HalfChrome Hey man, thanks for your quick reply. It's unlikely all my batteries are bad, I have like 20 of them and they worked great with my (now dead) geprc. The frame still lives so I put the chips from the Mobula7, whose frame is broken, on it. That works great. The Moblite7, which in contrast is brand-new, gave me a warning today that the core temperature was critically high after 1 minute of flight, so it is probably detective hardware...

I’ve done pretty much the same upgrades. Really like knowing the camera and board are protected. Also love using small 300 mah batteries when I want a more nimble flight. Only thing I want is to put a small beeper on it. I haven’t figured out how yet. There is a pad called "BUZ-" but haven’t found a BUZ+. Do you solder onto the BUZ- and a +5V?

You can adjust them. But I get a beeper is better. I think it likely depends on your beeper.

I really enjoy modding/build videos with whoops. I think if you swap connector for something with less resistance, you will get +1min on your flights getting you back to those magical 10min with 650mah. That would also be a cool video to watch as I'm considering it right now ;)

Hi, love your videos, I am a fpv newbie, so here is some silly question?, does this moblite7 bind with Taranis qx7 frSky transmitter, or do I need extra receiver, thanks in advance. Also is it for beginners?

I don't fly in stable mode so I don't want to flash anything and lose the tune and risk ruining the way it flies, I have a mobile hood I'm hoping to throw on when the moblite arrives but I'm not sure it screws in, and I'm not sure how you can feel the grip difference in stable mode I only really feel grip when ripping outside at full speed, that's how I lost my mobula7 lol sagged the battery out and lost video and crashed into long grass never to be seen again, the moblite hopefully will arrive in a couple of days

hi, on Mobula6 or Moblite is it possible to flash JESC with Betaflight 3.5.7? Or is Beta upgrade necessary? Is it possible to go back to Blheli if it doesn't work well? Thanks

I did not upgrade my betaflight. I assume you can go back to BL Heli but I haven’t tried.

Did you have to purchase the license for the JESC firmware? Reason I ask is I downloaded the JESC configurator then connected my Moblite7 and it wouldn’t connect on COM1 or COM3.

Rubber band (and remove battery crossbars) vs bending the stock battery crossbars inward with heat gun... which is lighter? Does anyone know? I don't have a scale that does less than 1 gram increments. Thanks in advance!

why should someone do that ? it is no upgrade it is a downgrade ! you building a normal whoop from this, it will shrink the flight time so the complete sense of the build "lite" is gone..so why not buy a normal mobula or other whoop if you like building, build it from beginning but remodding a lite version to a none lite, normal whoop is senseless ...the only reason to buy it is the flighttime (it is a lite you know) and this is gone now...

I suggest you do your research. There are videos from top whoop pilots who have done the same as this guy, cos the moblite flies amazing. U clearly just don’t know enough and so stop being so cocky

@@slol4306 lol the flight controller you could buy alone and build a quad still no scence to buy a whole "lite" build and ruin the build.. As i said buy the controller (wich is cheaper than the complete build) and build your own, thats what other pilots do.. Not every whoop that has this controller in it is a chage from that buil.. And time has come the controller is the most used because its liter than others and like you said it flyes good.... But you can buy it seperatly and save money to buy a lite build and make it heavier makes no scence...and by the way does anybody of ous hobby pilots really can tell the flightbehavier of a controller.. Sorry but i have many whoops and the most of them there is not such a difference for me even they all have different flight controller there are only one that i do not like and think it flies not good... The most difference you will see in races where every second of time is importand... For just fly and have fun most of the controllers are good enough and most hobby pilots will not really notice a big difference than added options in betaflighht....

@@AFlippingBudjunky buying this drone and only changing the canopy gives you an amazing quad and the canopy costs an extra £3. If ur looking for a bnf u won’t find better than that for performance. Ofc u can build ur own. But that’s going to be almost as expensive anyway
