It is amusing that you simply lifted the injector out of it’s bore. They NEVER come out that easily. On my 95 the #6 injector was rust welded to the hold down nut, the injector wanted to turn with it’s nut. No penetrating oil, no heat treatment, nothing would break that bond. Finally, after breaking several tools to hold the injector from turning I just let it turn in it’s bore with the nut. Th]e locating ball ground its way up through the head. After cleaning the metal debris out of the bore, I installed new injectors. Of course, it HAD to be #6, never #1 or #2. Real mechanics told me that I needed a new head. 120,000 miles later I sold the truck with a still strong 300,000+ mile engine.
It should be noted that the crows foot must be at a 90 degree to the torque wrench. If not at a 90, you effectively lengthen the torque arm and a setting of 22 ft lbs becomes something more.
my injectors came with 3 different size washers that go around the tip of the injector, should i just use the same size as the stock ones or use the thicker or thinner one?
Assuming you're running a set of our injectors for a 94-98 Dodge Ram then we recommend running the thin copper washers we provide which are 0.5mm thick.
I just did a set of ddp stage 3 and also delivery valves. They work great however on the highway i get a constant light haze and covers anything i tow in soot. Should i try going back to stock dv? Or tighten the afc spring?
@@witcher71 fuel pressure is 60 psi. Fass with tork tec fitting. Boost is about 10 psi total and 3psi from the big turbo at 70 mph 1900 rpm. Constant black haze i never had before
@@witcher71 egt is actually better with these injectors. About 800 deg towing level and 650 empty. Pre turbo temps. It runs amazing, smokes less under heavy acceleration then my old stage 2s did and make more power for sure. But i did ddp street delivery valves at the same time. Thinking of trying stock dvs and see if my haze goes away. Its my only gripe so far otherwise great upgrade
