Exploring the Dolomites was something else! Tears were shed!! Having grown up in an area surrounded by large mountain ranges, we LOVE the mountains and we were not disappointed by the views we experienced in the Dolomites.
The footage from 0:25-5:16 is all taken at Tre Cime di Lavaredo. If you start at the main hut (Rifugio Auronzo) near the parking area and do the main loop around Tre Cime, you will be walking along the same trail as we did. There's a little church (Cappella degli Alpini) along the trail and almost across from it you will see there's an opening along the fence that leads to a statue. We went near that statue and took a lot of our footage there. :) ENJOY!

Have you been to the Dolomites before? If so what was your favorite part??!! 😍🏔 If not, where is your favorite place you’ve ever travelled to?

I fully agree that the Dolomites are the most beautiful part of the Alpes. There are more places in that area you just HAVE to visit soon! I just love the beautiful city of Meran and all of the mountains, valleys and villages around. Next is Lake Garda, the biggest and most beautiful lake in Italy. You will find mountains in the north, beaches in the south and beautiful villages all around. Though I am from Northern Germany I call both places my second home because I have been there so many times and they are so incredibly beautiful! ❤️

We love Meran as well. We try to make a holiday-stay there every autumn. The temperatures are nice then, the new wine and roasted maroni (chestnut), bread dumplings and pizza are offered in the restaurants. I highly recommend south tyrol for a visit.

i'm Swiss, we have beautiful mountains too, but the Dolomite are truly something special! the mountain world brings inner peace, everyone who has the opportunity should travel because these experiences will accompany you for a lifetime. I also love Europe because of the relatively high level of security, the many cultures in a relatively small space and, compared to the USA, the healthy, good food. keep it up, enjoy your life

Yes, but this portion of the Alps completely falls on the Southern slape of the Alpine crest, so It's inside the Italian peninsula geographycally speaking. It's true there is the german speaking population, but this people is the result of the migrations os Bavarian people from Souther Germany that entered this part of Northen Italy during the Middle Ages in search of better and more sunny pasteurs

As a child I've been there with mom and dad for 7 times and nowadays I've been there 15 times with my children ... it's a tour of 1000 km. The Dolomites are stunning. I am a geologist and just love how beautiful the scenery is from the Alpine Orogeny... Which occurred due to the collision of the African and Indian plates with Eurasia to the north. The "whiteness" of the Dolomites is because the rock is Dolomite ie altered calcium carbonate rocks which were deposited by sea creatures when that area was a shallow, warm tropical sea. This seabed was then uplifted due to the plate collision and the rocks diagenetically altered. But if you want to believe God made the Dolomites that's fine.. But I'm just wondering.. which God are you referring to? The present day human race believe in over 5,000 God's! And everyone believes "theirs" is the "one true God!" historically there were even more, because anything that "could not be logically or scientifically explained" was just labeled as something the God's did.

Also the Brenta is a beautiful hiking area in Northern Italy (South Tyrol) not far from the Dolomites. However, I am also a fan of the North Sea and the Baltic with its beautiful islands and coast lines. Definetly also worth travelling to as long as the wheather is still warm enough. Tears did come in my eyes! Only a few month in Europe, and you already discovered the most beautiful part. Some interesting facts: Languages, Politics: The northern part is german, the southern part italian spoken. The language frontier was never a political one. Before World War I, the whole area was part of Austria, and then the whole part went to Italia. You were in the southern part. You can see and visit relicts from World War I in the southern part which was heavily fought over. Geology: All the dolomites are former coral reefs. You made holiday within a former tropical sea ! The alps did lift because of a crashing process of the african to the european plate. This lifting process still persists with a speed of 1 cm per year. The european plate is mostly on top. This is the reason why the german flat area north of the alps (Munich) is 500-700 meters high and Italia is on sea level. The germans, especially the bavarians, often make holidays in the northern part (Südtirol) because it is easier for us (same language), and the people nature is very similar to people from southern bavaria.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. There were clouds coming and going and Seceda looked so magnificently majestic. I only stayed there for around two hours because I couldn't believe what I was saying. The only... the only place I could compare to the Dolomites is Torres del Paine. They both are amazing, but both of them have what the other is missing. On one hand Los Cuernos has this turquoise water lake with the most amazing sunset you will ever see reflected on the water and the mountains. And in the Dolomites, you will see all this green but also dry together with clouds that make a contrast of colors hard to believe. If you enjoy it, visit Torres del Paine. Personally, and it can sound biased, but it is the most beautiful place I have ever been to. Nevertheless, that doesn't take any credit away from the Dolomites, because what impresses me the most is that people actually lived there. And all that cows, and goats, and donkeys. I was electrified because I got too close to one and I touched the chord, hahaha, but it was worth it. The Dolomites is a unique experience. Just one thing. I think it is great to record in all, but be aware of the use of the dron. That is incredibly disruptive for the fauna, especially the birds, in the area. It was kind of sad to see birds scared away because some people were shooting constantly on them and basically chasing the birds. We talked about that with a group of people, and it was the only bad thing about the journey.

Yes, I second this. The Dolomites are the World's most beautiful mountains. You probably need to have been there, to understand this. God had nothing to do with its creation, btw. It was tectonics and it took about 100 million years to create it.

I‘m born in a area high up, bayarian Alps, and in the years i live there, I always think of the sea, mountains, even they are as big as the Dolomiten 3 Zinnen are nothing Spezial to me, I’m bored up there. Left it now for more than 25 years and starting slowly to like it… but the nicest point where I was in my live was Bali , if you wanna go into the sun or Iceland, if you need it more Nordic! I try out Denmark and Sweden in the next month, we will see what comes up then! What I always love in your videos, beside you lovely 3, are the Drone-Videos, these are really masterpieces of art! Thinner seems to be a really good Pilot! Love it!

I would rather say nature and geology can be overwhelming and leave god out of it. What I find most amazing is that what you are actually standing on is the sea bed of a distant era, the lime rich left over product of layer upon layer of compressed marine animal waste material hardened to dolomite, then pushed upwards by the ever encroaching African plate and eroded by the elements. You passing there is just a minute fraction of a fraction of a fraction of ever changing existence. Now that is what I find awe inspiring.

Hey thanks!! You will absolutely love it! This is in our description of our video about that area: “The footage from 0:25-5:16 is all taken at Tre Cime di Lavaredo. :) ENJOY!” 😊

i like to think how africa is pushing europe up to create the alps. Does not matter if you like Europe or Africa better, the alps would not be there if it were not for both....
@giovannimoriggi5833
@giovannimoriggi5833 Год назад
Well, I don't get your point. Ground just moves, there's not Africa or Europe to think about. Europe or Africa would not be there if there wasn't other parts as well, everything is connected on the planet. But nobody decided nothing about it and there's no discussion or complain.
