Took some time to run through some of my holley carbs and how they work for a rotary. Also go through the setup of the holley 465 on my racing beat manifold in the silver rx7. Comment with questions. its a bit long
Appreciate the Holley setup info. Too often people say one carburetor or another won't work. In reality it is tuning, setup, troubleshooting, and perseverance that makes a setup work smoothly from idle through to wide open. I have been tinkering with carbed rotaries for 30 years, and I learn something new every time I have one apart, Thanks again for posting your videos.
thx man now i know what to order for carb, the previous owner of my fb rex rebuilt the carb incorrectly and it just flooded over and over again, tried to save it but it was no use so i got a rb intake and regular holley 600. One thing you left out was that the two primary ports have to breath to eachother and secondaries have to breath to eachother too.
Hi there, you said in the Holley 600 carb on a 12A bridge port rotary engine video that you were using 49's jets on the primary what jets do the secondary use?
When you use the spacer did you leave it open or you install the part that comes with the spacer one is open the other one has the for hole which is better for my 500cfm manual choke on a 12a please help I have ask you before and I took your advice and I got the car running new rebuild I'm proud of self because I have nobody to help me I have my car project thanks to you and say hi to your dog I haven't seen her in your videos I hope she ok
I have a Mazda 12a with racing beat carb. with a automatic transmission what number of jet can I install primary side to lower my1000 rpm to 800rpm thanks
Adjust the idle screw on back if the carb just a bit. Just need to turn it counterclockwise until the rpm is as desired. No need to change jets to adjust rpm
@@RADPotential sweet I'm from new Zealand and rotary parts a very expensive over here and very hard to find so im just making do with what I have was just want to see if theres any upgrades or mods to the carburetor that will make more power and flow better
hey man i have a bone stock 1984 fb rx7 i have no idea what im doing when it comes to cars cause i just bought this as a first car. the car came with a niki carb on it but i want a little more power what do you think i should get and where should i order it cause im pretty lost
If you live where you have to pass emissions you will have to leave it stock. More power wise. Id start with a header and exhaust. Then maybe do a modified nikki carb, a fat nikki, should open it up a lot on the top end
RAD Potential It's a Holley 650 vacuum secondary. Has 54 primary jets and a power valve lock off... that's all I know ... I open ignition and the carb just floods into engine.... set to 6 psi with Holley regulator and red Holley pump
Yavita Santiago I will... I have a friend that has a stock GSL SE with racing beat set up..trying to copy what he has since mine was set up for a muscle car
Yavita Santiago I know that I am 4 months late but everything that I have read about putting that big of a carb on, is you need a pretty big port on her, a stock port can’t take in enough fuel, either smaller carb, or if you want it to use the bigger carb and have shit tons of power, big ol street port, but I’d look into partial bridge or full bridge for that big of a carb
