The final sequence from STAGE KRAZY, showing Krazy at the keys playing "12th Street Rag", composed by Euday L. Bowman. This stands out because of its cutting to the beats of the music, creating a kind of montage. Clumsy in spots? Definitely. But a unique and advanced effort for 1933. Arrangement by Joe De Nat.

The cat's hand positions during the cat's performance are a good approximation of how the hands and fingers would look during an actual piano performance of 12th Street Rag. One of the cartoonists may have been a pianist. It's nice to see that someone cared.

Nah tv shows have a library songs to choose from. I remember hearing some Spongebob music in an episode of Pete & Pete, another Nickelodeon show from the 90s

12th Street Rag took off in the '20s. This capitalizes on it's great popularity. It's biggest hit was still 15 years off. Great clip!
