I'm using this charger on 2x 12V 65A Lead Acid batteries (connected in parallel) as a backup power to the solar panels which get a lot of shade due to clouds. This 12V in turn go via a step up 12v to 24v booster to my emg. power gen. with 24v LiP04 batteries and keep that topped up. Works so far!

In using two smart chargers as illustrated here the user needs to ensure that the battery's BMS (battery management system) can handle parallel charging. This is quite crucial to avoid damaging the battery or creating unsafe conditions inside the battery. For example, the BMS might need to coordinate with the chargers to ensure that they work together effectively, balancing the load and avoiding conflicts in that regard. Not all BMS units are designed to handle multiple chargers connected in parallel.

me mates has one of these type, used it, and now keeping it, me mate is hacked off, :), I am getting one, they are good, a good price , UK, around £60 to £70, I use it on me 1000w inverter , generator as I live in me Tramper van alot, nice to know that you can use 2 at the same time :)

I've never seen A review on these that showed a full 20 amp charge. Never more than 15 or so.

Beware when your 24V battery wont charge when the auto sensing mode in this type of charger says fully charged in the 12V mode. These need a 12V or 24V manual switch. Very worthless while trying to charge a low voltage 24V battery. 😖

I have this charger and so far all it puts out is 15 amps not 20 amps. It's charging a 100ah LiFePo4 battery that will accept 20 amp charging, but the charger only puts out 15 amps.

BMS Plays a role in Lifepo4. Lead acid isn't smart., however Lifepo4 is. Also you must select that option on the charger.

@@Joeteck Yes "LiFePo" is selected, but I notice that it does reach 19 amps for a minute or two but then falls back to 15 amps for some reason. Maybe the closer you get to fully charged the lower the amperage output?

No, not at all. if it did, then its built like garbage. I have two. Works amazing. I use two at the same time.

Hi, thanks for the video and information...can you please clarify if you just connect the 2 battery chargers to the same posts on the parallel battery bank. I have one battery bank with 2 x 200ah 12v batteries in parallel and attach my charger with + on one battery and - on the other battery...if i add a 2nd charger like you demonstrate do I just connect it onto the same battery terminals as the first charger or would it be better to connect it on the unused + and - terminals, so 1 charger on one pair of terminals and the other charger on the other pair of terminals? I also have an LFP battery bank with 2 x 280ah 12v batteries connected in series to give 24v...how would I best connect the 2 chargers simultaneously on that battery bank ? I presume it is okay to use chargers of different output capacity, i.e. they don't have to be identical specs....thanks in advance for your reply.
