I had the same issue with my Cannon for the last 3 1/2 weeks. You just saved me $100’s man. Thank you!!

I figured I wouldn’t be the only one! That’s exactly why I made this video!!

Thanks for posting this, I think we're having a similar issue with ours, it's a Dometic brand fridge, but it's only a 12v DC unit, which we've never had, so I'm not familiar with the way it should cycle. At least now I have a few more ideas for troubleshooting.

You’re welcome. I didn’t know how these things worked and I was feeling a little intimidated. I’m glad I cracked it open. It’s fairly simple and I really lucked out and the repair was very easy and cheap. I ran it for 2 weeks straight after the repair off my solar system. Worked great. Best of luck with your repair!

Still running strong? I'm about to embark on a similar quest with my ever chill 12v.

It is still running strong. Taking it out again this weekend. Time will tell but seems like it’s all good!

@@bennieaust , little follow up from my issue. Mine is likely due to me storing my van on a slope. Apparently they can or will turn off if they aren't level. This was good for me to know.

@@jasonwalker1959that’s good to know. So I’m assuming it’s working good now?

I keep researching 12v fridges. But reviews just didn't seem very good. Many are only lasting a year or two.

This one was in an RV I bought so I don’t know exactly how old it is, but it’s not old! I have a brand new one in another camper. We’ll see how they hold up. Strike one so far. What I love is that in both applications I have enough solar to run them indefinitely. That’s pretty sweet to leave them unplugged and the fridge running 24/7! That was the goal.

Don't buy an everchill mine just died after 2 summers. I'm looking at the dometic and the customer service representative there said her most common repair for them is the fan. I'm ordering an extra fan to have on hand. It's definitely the least expensive part and easy to replace. The circuit boards can be around $200 and might not fix it. Ask me how I know!
