I must retract my comment. After looking in to this it truly is only 450hp. The blown 350 offers the most hp out of all the engine options at 545hp....ford is making 575hp with tje cobra jet. I'm pretty amazed at this. But when you have a fully gutted strip car it's amazing what power to weight can do for you. I'd like to see a COPO model done with the 2016 camaro body.
+chevydodge88 Gm continues to rely on old tech. the pushrod motor is a stone age relic that will be gone soon except in NOS racing. More guys at my local track have gone to ford this past year than ever before. Cheap easy hp and very durable, unlike my 350 which gets rebuilt 2x a season. Many Ford guys go the whole year without a tear down, maybe i will switch. lol
+mark ford that's pretty weird might be a shity builder I have 3 years since my teardown on my 468bbc and it see's street use and some nitrous. it about 13 to 1 motor to so idk why you go through motors so often
***** i googled it man, that's where i got my info. Everwhere I've looked those numbers come up. Whether they're wrong or not i have no clue. Do you have a link to share to prove this 1,000hp claim? Not saying you're wrong but I'd like to know of some proof is all.

john james actually I feel like a tard cause.....it really is lol. Look it up... The fastest COPO is the 350 with a 4 liter supercharger pushing 545 hp. Crazy right? The fastest cobra jet is 575 hp. Look it up lol. It makes sense though considering it's a fully gutted body with the right gear behind the HP to get it down the track.
+Clifford Purk Bad engine builder na. Andy Jensen runs a 6 second Vette. Has been in business for years. rpm's are killer, plus as you know most of the safety rules in effect are because of the sbc blowing parts,lol. good luck with the copo. funny you didn't respond to the dinosaur old tech comment. it seems that gm likes to stay in the past. the cj with almost 100 less ci looks to me to be the better bullet on the track and the dyno. sure weight plays a part, but every race I have seen these cars compete in they have won. and I really don't see them doing much to them in the pits. later Bro. and I put the 350 up for sale. maybe a hemi?
got killed on the race vs the rail car. the drag pack Challengers would have made it a little closer as they ran qualifiers this year in the Factory stock class and we're running in the high 7,s and are 2018 champions

Dam that is one ugly car. And with almost 100 more cubes than the Cobra Jet the CJ beats this slow-mo everytime. GM still using old school tech and it shows. Just checking out my competition haters, and by the way GM plans to kill the Camero in 3 years finally, and never bring it back. They still can't get it right,lol.
