It's not really less secure then the average house with windows and locks that can easily be picked. You aren't wrong for very important things, but for your home it's fine.
Most "smart home" hacks come from vendors and IoT devices exposed to the internet, not the local network. This makes the home as secure as the WiFi key when using non-TLS/SSL connections which is, at least at present times with a non-default pass phrase more robust than the average person that re-uses their credentials online and has some crap IoT device in their network.
U can build a DIY Smart Mirror (with a LED Screen behind SPY glass) and also a camera as a Movement detector. On the LED u can get Smart Home, News, weather etc. U can also Hide LED behind the glass to get light when u look in.
we can build everything. and let hacker control. or hook AI and AI can lock sauna door and put some heat to kill you. yes we can build all, but why human build things like that LOL
