I don’t even work with wood, but the slight smile you have every time you’re in frame communicates your passion. And the work speaks for itself. Thanks for sharing!

I am just looking at him smiling very softly the entire time before any of his projects knowing he will be perfect at it and at the end when it is master piece. I am a 50 years old woman with no background with woodworking but always have been a handy woman doing something around the house when at times my husband thinking and saying why I do what I do and it doesn’t make sense but at the end it is something he never thought I can do, I am lost with worlds and amazed by everything you do. It is like a therapy to watch you working with wood like you use a knife and cut the cheese. Respects to you sir
One of the best videos I’ve ever seen of joinery in woodworking. No music, no talking, just true talent with amazing skills. Keep up the good work. I’m subbing after this comment.
If someone had told me 40+ years ago of a thing called the Internet and that I’d be spending a lot of time on it watching a guy do joinery on a virtual TV channel called RU-vid… Yet, here I am. You are friendly and you make it look so easy. You’re kinda like the Bob Ross of woodworking. 😃

I was shaking my head by that last one...bravo my dude. Insane the precision and the tools!! It is so amazing watching you use this Japanese building style to truly meld wood peices into one another--zero nails.
It is totally true that a cabinet maker is only as good as his tools. In this video we watched a large shop with medium commercial sized tools and what it can do. I'd say at minimum buying used we saw 50k worth of power tools. Buying new 75-100k. SBA loans are still available but good luck qualifying. Just sayin
I am totally blown away by the skills you have! You make it all look easy. It's how everything fits perfectly together that makes it so amazing! All I can say is that you have the patience of a saint 😊🤠🇬🇧
I'm a retired carpenter and joiner from Ireland, it's a pleasure watching your video's, machinist is a trade on it's own, your a brilliant joiner and machinist! Keep that sawdust going 😊
Ireland is beautiful country! I kissed the stone in 2018 it was big adventure for me! I had to hang upside down and the wind was strong! I felt accomplished hahaha ❤ (Sorry my English 😅)
The ability to see the potential in a block of wood is creative, executing that potential is art. The pride on your face after each joint is priceless... I'd love to see the alphabet created with those joints. Amazing work!
Your comment reminded me of a scene in MASH when Frog Face and Hotlips were looking for an artist to carve a bust of CO Sherman Potter. The two wanted to see an example of his work. The Korean carver showed them a 2x4. Disgruntled Frog Face said: "That looks like a 2x4!" The artist said: "Thank you!"
Having tools is one thing. Having mastered the use of them is to be commended. I could just see my finger or thumb becoming a permanent part of one of these joints. Well done.
@@paulgrothe6398 The "more" here is knowing the right order to conduct his steps in a structured way to get to his goal. It's not just power machines doing all the work! You don't seem to have ever tried woodjoining yourself.
I was about to go into the shop and noticed the notification for this video on my phone. Even though I’ve seen almost all those before, when the grand poobah of joinery speaks, you dang well better listen son. Beautiful work sir.
@@snyder_fine_art you've never heard that term? It's one of many funny titles of the character Pooh-Bah in Gilbert and Sullivan's _The Mikado._ He was also things like "Lord Chief Justice, Lord High Admiral, and "Lord High Everything Else". It's actually a mocking title for some self-important, pompous windbag. It's not a nice term, really. I suspect the one that wrote it didn't know it's a negative term.
@@Griffinwoodworks um... guess you weren't aware, but... _~cringe~_ the term Grand Poobah isn't a nice one. It's a name for a self-important, pompous, arrogant, pretentious person. 😬 Not exactly someone you'd then turn around and call a homie. 🤪
I'm 34 years old and this video taught me a lot. I'm just getting back in to pottery after having only done it in high school and I've found that I really really enjoy it/remember a lot about it. Thanks from someone who needed a refresher!
Brilliant! You are the man ! I'm a 50+year old cabinet maker in England and I still love being blown away by skills like yours i only wish I'd found your channel sooner. Keep up the good work
Love this guy, a real genius with wood. I agree with one of the other commenters, no extraneous talk, no boring repetitive moves, just fast action. A joy to watch. Keep ‘em coming.
Great craftmanship for sure, it makes you think how decades ago carpenters use to make boats and furniture having no tools yet their work was flawless.
You’ve given me so many ideas for how I’m going to approach the joinery on my upcoming desks. Thank you so much for your incredible videos. I only wish I had a shaper and a radial arm saw like yours.
Meu Deus!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Not many people own a radial arm saw anymore, but those saws are amazing! I had one years ago and for the life of me I can't remember what happened to it. Great video, thanks for sharing!
Working wirh all of those machines and making such perfect works, maybe looks easy, eventually needing lot of countings, but the guy is also working manually, and the result is still.... perfect! Wow.
So satisfying to watch the joinery videos. I started off doing a bit of whittling as a hobby about 3 years ago, I got really into RU-vid woodworking videos, $2k in tools later and I’m still loving it, no regrets. Thank you for your videos, not just instructional, but quite therapeutic as well. Happy new year!
I love watching your videos. I have always loved wood working. I have started to mess around with it again. I just made a few display boxes using wooden dowels.
I always thought "table-based wood saws" were kind of boring until he flipped the blade on its side, getting closer a milling machine! Now I can get down with that!
