One woman thought sending her IRS check via certified mail was safe. But, she said it was fraudulently cashed, and three months later, her tracking shows it's still at a Houston mail distribution center.
The ONLY way this problem will be solved is if we hire more diverse postal employees; preferably folx who are citizens of other countries or who need second chances after a lifetime of developing lengthy criminal histories.
The Oakforest station is corrupt. I had multiple debit cards, and expensive shoes come up missing. The staff is unhelpful and will dismiss your concerns. I filed a complaint, and my shoes appeared on my front porch a week later.
Yes mail is being stolen from inside of Houston Facility. My sister in law had sent me a gift card. The envelope was opened and the card was taken. They put the original envelope and birthday card into another envelope and said the original envelope was damaged by a machine.
My girlfriend down the hall from me son sends her a gift card from HEB every month! BUT she has not received some of them so her son now brings them to her even though he lives over an hour away!! We are Seniors in need and this is how the post office does business??!! Stealing from the elderly!!!!
@@pattibelcher2659 That's terrible. It's become so common I know people that never send gift cards through regular mail anymore. They even tried to break into a package my sister sent but there was nothing valuable in it. They didn't even try to tape it back and gave it to me all torn open. I reported it to the Postal Inspector.
I've experienced twice, most recently 4/9/24 and earlier this year, USPS failure to do the job they're paid to do, deliver my mail in a secure manner. The first time, usps informed me (sms) that a pkg was delivered to my door. I was watching for the delivery as the postal person said they had no pkg for me. USPS denied my claim 3 times, insisting "it was delivered." Again, a pkg remained for local delivery from 4/9/24, "In transit to next facility, arriving late". USPS has thieves within their operations!
Coworkers got suspicious when Mr. Felontavious started showing up to work driving a Ferrari, wearing a Gucci suit and shoes, and wearing a Rolex watch.
I continually get mail delivered to me from an address over a mile away. A completely different number on a completely different street in a different zip code. The postal employees are clueless or don't care.
@@ARod-br2ui You are so correct. One of the mail ladies is always on her phone w/the speaker turned up so loud. I'll be sitting in my home office & I can hear the on-going conversation when she pulls up to my mailbox.
Horrible service here in Alief, Houston TX. Same thing happened to me, dog ashes were taken. I hope the thief was surprised when they opened that box only to find ashes. Still shows a month later that it's in Houston waiting to be delivered
This has been going on for a very long time in Houston. Several years ago I had 2 checks stolen, washed and cashed in Louisiana. Both dropped off together at the same post office. I should have made a formal.complaint.
@@Eman-vp5wkkidding, right? Postal workers, like public school teachers, are overwhelming of one political party.....D.C. doesn't investigate their own patrons
Do away with the 204B program, acting supervisors. Hire trained qualified management from outside. Too many unqualified employees are put in management/supervisors positions . Go back to the old ways with uniforms. Intense code of ethic/confidentiality classes, along with weekly stand-up talks on safety.
DeJoy the largest stock owner in UPS, and a Trump appointee, will greatly benefit from the failure of USPS. The goal is to shut down postal services, and have UPS take over. The Fox is in charge of the hen house.
Please investigate the one at 4020 Broadway in SE Houston. We kept a PO box there for awhile, then found someone else's medicine in our box along with a notice that they were holding packages for us. We turned in the medicine to the female at the counter, who took it, but was unable to find our packages. Someone else who kept a box there sent relatives in Mexico a computer that never got there. Another person renting a box there said the medicine she got thru the mail was stolen more than once. Also witnessed an older lady being told she'd have to wait until one of the employees got back from break if she wanted service. They don't open on time either, often because they're too busy socializing with each other, so if you need to go to that one be prepared to wait...and wait...and wait... Another time I went to pick up my packages, the girl behind the counter brought them, slammed them on the counter, broke one item in the process. I do crafts & order most supplies online so I did have a lot of packages that day, something she clearly resented when she said "it must be nice" as I took them off the counter. OK - none of those things were from Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. I paid for each item from wages I earned from working. Even if they had been gifts or whatever, it's nothing to do with any postal worker, most of whom make more money than I do anyway. There really are people who feel entitled to everyone else's stuff, regardless of the fact that it doesn't belong to them, will cause hardship to whoever it's stolen from, or that other people have needs too. Infants feel entitled to be the center of the world when they're hungry or soiled, but most people outgrow this. Not those employed (can't say working) at this location.
The post office is a joke I had a certified and the inspectors don’t investigated nothing I been trying to get answered from them they ignor me may be you can get them they pitiful the postal inspectors general please a joke no body want to do any thing so good luck with that group
Thievery has become socially acceptable, so call social media has made it so. People bragging on social media about their stolen merchandise. Resale sites have made it easy to profit from stolen goods. There was a time a thieve has 3 choices to sell stolen goods, an individual, a pawn shop or a middle man which could be a police operation. Today just put it on line, wait for a buyer.
I had this happen a local post office in Beaumont, Ca about 4 years ago. A lot of mail stolen. The post office was very unhelpful. It appeared to be an inside job.
Our Christmas gifts and gift cards did not make it to us. The tracking numbers showed as being in transit and never left the Houston post office. The wife filed a complaint and 3 weeks later we received an envelope with the original envelope in it ripped open and someone else's gift card in it. Will never return to Texas
Someone from the post office in Slidell, Louisiana. It was a gift card for my sister’s birthday. It was used at the store that I bought it at and the store wouldn’t let me see the video of the woman who used it at the jewelry counter!!!!
Of course, it happens. I had an excoworker many years ago who went to work for the postal office, and she told me employees would open letters looking for credit cards, but she claimed she didn't.
Check all carrier agents first Check office agents Check all distribution center And most of all check all cameras in the facility The crook will be caught
I sent two packages to my son in Florida from indiana for Christmas and one had a hole in it so they could see what was in it. They actually put a couple pieces of candy in it. My son was wondering why I did that I didn’t
I have a package that disappeared while in transit from CA. They are claiming that there is a backlog of mail that they are working through but I am pretty sure that it was either thrown away because they didn't want to deliver it or it was stolen.
Doing a background check on employees probably wouldn't help either. If they see something they want, they gonna take it regardless.Ppl these days are getting ruthless.😔😔😠
A freind of mine sent a card with a 20 init during xmas going to his paper boy for a tip just recently he got it card letter and 20 back with a note from usps he should send cash in mail ...anit this a illegal opening of his mail by post office?he has never had a probelm before this happened up in michigan....
It’s not just Houston, been going on for years-we quit sending money or checks in cards, photo cd disks, anything of value years ago because anything of value would mysteriously disappear, would be “damaged”, or “got caught in the machines”. I once lost a signed sports photo between Phillie and NY my dad sent to me. Priority or overnight is just as bad-just disappears.
Certified mail is not completely trackable. It just confirms acceptance and delivery. Nothing is in between, meaning the theft could have happened somewhere else!
Oh wow, my dad would always tell me that he thinks the mail people open his mail and I would tell him that I didn't think so. I thought he was paranoid. Smh
It is good to see these issues brought forward, thank you for reporting them. Just a reminder to all of you out there - NOT All USPS Employees are Bad, thank you. As for government employees- they are not all bad either. Some of us work very hard everyday to keep the mail moving for Americans.
Yea the USPS is a disaster of an organization! Since September 2023 I have had nearly 5 packages severely damaged after being delivered to me through the USPS resulting in them having to be exchanged with the merchant costing me thousands of $$$! As of today the USPS has yet to respond with adequate sufficiency with regard to the whereabouts of another package of mine that they lost enroute to the merchant I was sending it too after horrific damage upon USPS delivery to me. I've submitted service request, MRC requests, & my package was insured; yet still to this very day 04/27/2024 they have no answer about the whereabouts of my package!
Yep, the post office Raleigh station Mphs Tn need to be investigated and I been saying it for yrs but, when you call the 800#, they send the complaint to the same station the complaints are on and the mngr just keep saying nothing will be fine bcz there are no cameras in the bank
Via USPS first class, I mailed my daughter a food item that she hasn't seen in her area. Cost me over $5. It's been over a month now and it's still not arrived. I suspect that postal worker enjoyed herself some bacon jerky. 🤔😋
Oh, you're the one who sent that. Yes, thanks. We enjoyed it in the back of the offices. You get hungry when you're rifling through mail, looking for cash sent in birthday envelopes.
How come the government of United States of America is not getting into this they really should because I’ve known them to get into other situations and close companies down. Why can’t they close this company down? They really need to if they can’t do it right can’t hire employees to do it right then they need to close it down.
These people are going to end up being replaced by AI because of this sort of thing. Really sad. USPS employs thousands of carriers and only a small fraction of them are doing this. I really hope they catch them and really make a huge example out of them.
This type of behavior has been going on since the 90's, that I can recall I became a would be victim, It was time for my license renewal to be mailed to me, per DPS they kept telling me it was mailed 3 weeks before my birthday, I requested another copy that I could come and pickup, About two weeks later I received a phone call from a PAWN SHOP telling me my payroll check was returned, I started asking them so many questions, because first and foremost I get direct deposit and the Company they told me was not the company I worked for, I finally told the guy you got scammed not me. But I believe USPS sold my TDL to someone in their big scheme and I still ride around with the Police report that I had to go and make of stolen license. just in case their computers are down and this episode come back up.
I saw a carrier scan my certified mail on my camera yet never got out the vehicle to deliver it to me I filed complaint and nothing was done However a carrier brought a bundle of mail to me dated months back and on some had a note “No Longer” yet, I was home daily And I still don’t get debit cards and anything bank or card related was open I rented a P.O. Box at the same post offc and when is go check the box the mail would still be open inside the PO Box So definitely an inside job Also
As a former USPS employee oftentimes the automated machine will tear up mail or rip it if it’s a jam/malfunction. It’s up to employees to pick up mail and send it to the appropriate department that handles damaged mail. Employees are so overwhelmed by work, poor management, lazy staff and corruption to where it’s easy to turn a blind eye.
@@willbass2869 , your problem may have started before Trump, however, problems escalated after DeJoy's appointment. It is now the country's problem, not just local or regional. DeJoy needs to be removed immediately.
this is not common, I have an e-com. business and this is an inside joke to us. we ship all over the world and there is just some places where our tracking will stop and it wont move from there , its like it fell in a hole. for me its Shreveport .....tracking shows its arriving but it never leaves. Hotel California style. anyway hasn't happened in awhile now but it's happened enough in the last 6-8 years we have a joke about it. the usps needs to be investigated and get better security bc I believe someone just knows how to get around the internal security devices and protocols. someone is making a killing on line selling the stuff they pilfer out of all us working class.
