Good points. You approach the guitar the as I do. God I don't know why, but I love melodic minor. It's just a major scale with a flat 3rd degree WTF? It's a beautiful scale. It's just creating music even if you think it's not.
Very confusing, I encourage everyone to study the Segovia diatonic major and minor Scales in three octaves. It is much more difficulty but challenging. Based on the E major scale one can develop into technical studies of major third slurs up and down the 21 notes. It is the building block of speed, accuracy, musicality, as well as ear training.
Mr. Fisk is incredible Claassical Guitarist and I so appreciate his teaching. Thank you! Question: why does his guitar buzz and sound so bad? I definitely kniw it's not his playing. It just sounds terriab le. Meaning the guitar not him!
I know the answer: he needs to get rid of his personal Luthier in cape cod! His guitar sounds terrible. Sounds like he bought it from the Sears and Roebuck catalog for 20 dollars in 1969! Somebody please buy him a Ramirez Guitar from Spain ! What, does he owe his personal Luthier his life? I write this often in his videos! I'm on a mission. Ha! Peace ! Cheers!
Fisk once again advertising his O'dumba support. He could have easily left the case out of the video but he CHOSE to put it in there. Just enough to the right of him so we can all see it, oh and let's make sure we elevate it and put it on the chair too just so one misses it. A place most people never put their guitar case.
And if some guitarist decided to do a similar thing with a politician that you agree with, you wouldn’t bat a fucking eye. Don’t worry about his fucking guitar case and listen to what he has to say
I believe he emulates Segovia's technique. He had a videocassette teaching the Segovia style of playing so I believe that's where he got that from. It's an old, and antiquated technique.
This is glorious, I've been looking for "best guitar training dvd" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Peynharlotte Acoustic Smasher - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my work buddy got excellent results with it.
